According to Flex, the price for Ayton is a starter, a young rotation player, and a frp. I highly doubt Portland would consider giving up 3 for Ayton, but this package fits that framework. Not very inspiring but I could see it happening.

Why Phoenix (might) do this trade:

They shave about 10mil off the cap and get 2 rotation players. Nurk is a liability on defense because of his inability to move his feet, but he is still a good rebounder and shot blocker. Adding Little as a cheap young player with upside who could be a rotation piece next to booker and kd. The pick could be flipped in a separate deal or used to take another team friendly player.

Why Portland (might) do this deal:

Upgrade the center position and still have assets to go get someone like Siakim. A Dame, Grant, Siakim, Ayton lineup on paper feels like a contender.
