Overview: The 76ers would have a young big 3 of Joel Embiid, Jayson Tatum, and Ben Simmons and would likely win multiple championships, instead they traded up from pick number 3 to number 1 to select Markelle Fultz.

What has happened

Celtics: this trade worked out perfectly for the Celtics, they obviously got Jayson Tatum who is now a superstar and they got a 2019 first-round pick(romeo langford) which the ended up trading in a package for derrick white. Both of those players have been key players for their deep playoff runs and the Celtics are considered by some to be the best team in the league.

76ers: The 76ers ended up Trading Fultz after only 2 seasons for Jonathon simmons and a heavily protected first-round pick. The 76ers have been contenders for a while but have never made it out of the second round.

What would have happened if the 76ers never traded up for Fultz:

Celtics: The Celtics would have never traded for Kyrie because of Fultz and they would probably be a bad team for awhile. Like I said earlier this trade was amazing for the Celtics.

76ers: The 76ers would have had the best young core in the Nba and I would belive they would be a contender for many years. If they took tatum they would have never traded for Jimmy Butler, and Ben Simmons would have likely stayed motivated and would not have requested a trade.
