Latest trade speculation from Jon Krawzynski, the best reporter on the Timberwolves beat.

"Timberwolves insider Jon Krawcyznski dropped a juicy trade deadline article on Tuesday and he mentioned many of the names that others have linked to Minnesota in the past few weeks.

Here's a good roundup all of the previous rumors, including reports connecting Minnesota to Tyus Jones, Bones Hyland, Monte Morris, Alec Burks, Delon Wright, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Royce O'Neale, Malcolm Brogdon, Davion Mitchell and Doug McDermott.

Krawczynski, whose word carries more weight since he's closer to the Timberwolves than any reporter on the planet, added Tyus Jones' brother Tre Jones and a few others to the Wolves rumor mill.

Tre Jones, San Antonio Spurs Dennis Schroder, Toronto Raptors Kyle Lowry, Charlotte Hornets Dennis Smith Jr., Brooklyn Nets Krawczynski said Tre Jones "could be another possibility," having earlier confirmed that Minnesota and Washington have discussed a Tyus Jones trade but that the asking price is believed to be a first-round pick, which Minnesota doesn't have in 2024 unless it's a pick swap.

He referred to Schroder and Lowry as "two other names on the radar."

Additionally, Krawczynski called Detroit's Alec Burks an "ideal fit" for the Wolves, though it's worth pointing out that James L. Edwards III, who covers the Pistons for The Athletic, reported Monday that the Pistons are "leaning toward keeping" Burks.

Krawcyznski also said Minnesota could be a landing spot for Spurs 3-point specialist Doug McDermott or Charlotte's Gordon Hayward, but only if they are available after Thursday's trade deadline via the buyout market.

"I would expect the Wolves to make a run at them," Krawczynski wrote. A viable scenario would be for the Wolves to address point guard via trade and then their need for shooting in the buyout market. But it does depend on the next 72 hours and what deals emerge for a team that wants to make a move." In the last few days, Krawcynski also indicated that he thinks there is little chance the wolves trade Naz Reid, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, or Kyle Anderson.

So take that for what it's worth, but JK is more plugged into the wolves front office than anyone else.
