Risk worth taking, maybe?

For the trade to actually work, the Wolves first need to get rid of Julius Randle. Whether he opts in or opts out and walks away in free agency, it's up to him to decide.

Back to the trade. Now, is Lonzo Ball injury prone? Absolutely. Is it a massive risk for the Wolves to potentially bet on a guy who's never been fully healthy? Yes. But, Lonzo when he's healthy is one of the better perimeter defenders in the NBA. I mean, just 3 years ago, before he got hurt, he and Alex Caruso were carrying Chicago's defense. He's also improved a lot as a shooter, which can help Minnesota's offensive inconsistencies. He can be the perfect backcourt fit with Anthony Edwards, and can make that Minnesota defense even better.

T-Wolves starting 5: Lonzo Ball, Anthony Edwards, Jaden McDaniels, Naz Reid, Rudy Gobert
