This trade builds off the package that Zach Lowe and other ESPN analysts have floated around, but this trade leaves MN without a starting C, and also has the roster with 3 PF's: KD, Randle, and Reid. Before I go any further, this trade is dependent upon Reid opting into his contract and extending (per Dane Moore):
25-26: $15.0M
26-27: $21.0M
27-28: $22.7M
28-29: $24.4M
29-30: $26.0M
With that said, a package of Randle and Minott plus #31 to the Bulls for Vucevic and Ball seems like a realistic target for MN. They can sign NAW to a new contract (3YR/$40M) as well and the 10 man looks like
Conley-Ant-McDaniels-KD-Vucevic
Ball-NAW-TJ/Clark-Reid-_
Now the backup C position could either be a vet min signing (Steven Adams as placeholder), or if they could manage to keep the #31 pick, they could draft someone like Kalkbrenner. If either of those don't work out, they could package two future 2nds to move up 4 spots to draft at #27. Brooklyn has a lot of picks this year, they need roster spots to sign back some of their players, so they might want to get trade out of this draft for the future.
