Why the Wolves do this trade: It gives them a second scoring option next to Ant and a new starting caliber PG. Divencenzo can come off the bench and Bruce Brown can be their starting PG.

Why the Nets do this trade: The Nets do this trade to get rid of Cameron Johnson for an expiring deal, as in Julius Randle. They could either flip randle or let him walk in the off-season, but either way, it would let them cut down on their salary and fully tank. They also get Shannon, who doesn’t have much of a role on the Wolves because they are contending for a title, but in Brooklyn, he would be given full minutes and be able to develop. They would also get a FRP.

Why the Raptors do this trade: This trade lets them get off of the Brown contract and and gain more tradeable contracts to flip later on. They would also get a SRP back in exchange for Brown.
