Brooklyn may be hesitant to part with draft capital after the KD, Kyrie, and Harden era but—if they are—they could do worse than acquiring one of the best offensive bigs in the league to pair with Bridges and Simmons.
KAT would be the perfect frontcourt compliment to Ben Simmons with his elite shooting and scoring skills. And Bridges would have another star running mate to partner with.
For Minnesota, in addition to getting 3 greatly-needed first-round picks, they would acquire proven perimeter talents that could neatly fit into what they’re building around Anthony Edwards and Jaden McDaniels while also creating flexibility for the future.
BROOKLYN
Ben Simmons
Mikal Bridges
Dorian Finney-Smith
Cameron Johnson
Karl-Anthony Towns
And they’d have Cam Thomas, Royce O’Neale, and Nic Claxton to use off the bench.
MINNESOTA
Mike Conley Jr.
Anthony Edwards
Jaden McDaniels
Kyle Anderson
Rudy Gobert
And the first guys off the bench could be Spencer Dinwiddie, Joe Harris, and Taurean Prince.
