Would the pacers even consider this offer? (See notes for explanation)

SUCCESS

The only reason I can think of for the Pacers to accept this offer is taking Josh Green's expiring $14 million contract, a 2030 second round pick (that already has protections on it), and a 2032 first round swap off of the final year of Obi Toppin's contract ($15.2 million).

Not necessarily a terrible deal for a decent player that only plays 17 minutes game, but I'm not sure it's all that enticing for the Pacers and I don't think Minnesota would be interested in giving up either Jaylin Clark or Terrence Shannon Jr. to complete a deal. In addition, they certainly wouldn't include Joan Beringer and if national and local reports are believed, nor would they be inclined to include DDV, as they hope he's able to return to the team by the playoffs. It's hard to imagine Minnesota making all that much better of an offer, I don't think they would include a additional first round swap (2030)- unless they included Bones Hyland and I don't think that would move the needle for the Pacers.

If any Pacers fans happen see this hypothetical trade, I'm really interested in hearing your thoughts.

Thanks,
