Detroit’s protected 1st the Wolves got in the Towns trade may encourage the Pistons to participate here. They need another scorer since Ivey got hurt. It might not be likely but the Bulls would need to move him for Butler.

Wolves give Miami another scorer (cough turnover machine cough) and get salary relief and Jovic.

Wolves turn that 1st, which they don’t need IMHO, into 3 seconds to restock draft assets. They have enough young guys. They still have 2 2nds coming to stash young guys.

Since this trade gets Minnesota out of the 2nd apron, I would follow this trade with Leonard Miller to the Hornets for Micic. Wolves desperately need a PG.
