MIN-BKN - Wolves make cheap move on margins

SUCCESS

The wolves need to make a move this season to help fill the glaring holes on the roster. Primarily those are a secondary creator next to Ant and a backup center. A lot of the options have Randle being sent out, but maybe that type of move isnt what the wolves need midseason. After all, moving Randle out would most certainly leave a hole in the backup 4/5 if we were to be trading for a starting guard. Moving DDV out for another guard would be a lateral move at best.

Brooklyn did not offer Cam Thomas an extension, and he had to settle for the Qualifying offer of $6M. This shows that there is little to no market for Cam Thomas, and even a team like the Nets that had cap space available werent even willing to give him a new contract. This is where the Wolves can buy super low (expiring and will want to be paid) on a player with a playstyle of need. They also get Day'Ron Sharpe to play as a cheap backup center. Sharpe may be the player that has the most value in the trade as he has one more year under contract for very cheap, but can still be a productive player. Wolves send out a Rob Dillingham, Leonard Miller, 2 future 1st swaps, and 1 2nd.

This move keeps the Wolves' core part of the roster that has played great recently together for the remainder of the season, but addresses their needs rather cheaply.
