I'm writing this from the perspectives of a wolves fan also informed about different rumors and situations that the spurs and celtics are in. This is a simulation of some other offseason moves as well, including signing Ayo Dosunmu
There is obviously deaaron fox trade talk that has been happening since the finals, and they already have 2 future star guards, and deaaron fox contract is no joke, and could put then in an extremely difficult spot once wemby, castle, and harper are on non-rookie deals.
I know everyone likes shitting on julius randle, but he is genuinely the perfect fit next to wemby. Randle is a former All-Star PF capable of being a great playmaker, thrasher, and post-up player. He doesn't pair well next to rudy and thats a core reasoning for him doing so poorly in the spurs series. Randle as a player is very talented as a frontcourt star, but he needs a center that is good at rim protecting, and can space the floor. Victor Wembanyama. Donte is a great guard when healthy and could also just be great extra support.
Next, the wolves end the rudy gobert experiment. He was excellent winning a DPOY and being the core of a defense that won 5 playoff series in three years. He now can be the backend of the celtics defense. This trade was rumored for a bit. Celtics get an excellent rim protecting big as they adjust to not having the resources for a perfect space the floor center. The timberwolves get one of the best role players in the league(even if on a hefty contract) and then get to see how ant, jaden, naz, and fox cook with having spacing. Celtics also trade queta to the wolves, and the wolves get a good either starting center or a hedge on the beringer bet.
I'm assuming that the spurs and celtics in this scenario may make other deals that I'm not informed enough to say, but this would roughly be all of the wolves minutes divided up into a 9 man rotation, and I'm guessing that there will either be changes to the starting 5 frequently or we will have a 6moty candidate on the wolves.
