The Warriors Side
There are probably a lot bigger Warriors watchers than me. But from what I can tell, the Warriors need help, because 17-19 isnt dynasty like. Here’s what Ive noted.
Steve Kerr is having problems with his younger cast; Kuminga and Moody both are having problems right now, and it would make sense to move them.
Steph doesn’t have any consistent, clutch teammates to help him. Constantly the Warriors are losing fourth quarter leads and not being able to score in that period. Getting a couple guys who can do just that would really help
The core of that 2022 championship team in Wiggins, Klay, and Draymond have been on the decline, and as Curry gets older, replacing them with competent scoring could help
Curry is 35. It’s now or never to go all in with a generational talent like him
Siakam and Lavine are both 28 and average 43 ppg together. The four players the warriors are trading average 50. On top of that, the Warriors get Torrey Craig, a great defender and off the bench guy. Additionally, have an athletic big like Siakam could really help Chris Paul get a lob partner on the team
The Warriors Starters:
Stephen Curry
Zach Lavine
Torrey Craig
Draymond Green
Pascal Siakam
The Warriors Bench:
Chris Paul
Cory Joesph
Brandin Podz
TJD
Kevon Looney
The Bulls Side
The Bulls have done good without Lavine, but unfortunately they can’t seem to move his contract without taking on another terrible contract. Klay’s expiring contract will free up an additional 43 million in free agency for the Bulls to sign some depth, if they wish for that. Just getting off the Lavine contract seems to be the goal of the Bulls, and this does that.
What does Klay bring to the table for the Bulls though? Klay brings a championship pedigree to a locker room with only one other champion. He also is a piece the Bulls are lacking, which is a wing that can defend and score. The Warriors first will also be valuable when it conveys.
The Bulls Starters:
Coby White
DeMar Derozan
Klay Thompson
Patrick Williams
Nikola Vucevic
The Raptors Side
The Raptors are hitting the reset button, with them aiming for young talent. Kuminga and Moody fit that perfectly. 21 y/os with championship experience. The pressure free environment of the Raptors in their rebuild will let the duo thrive and become what they’re not in Golden State, with guaranteed rotational minutes.
While Wiggins contract might be painful to shed, Wiggins is a veteran and NBA champ who can play a key role in his home country’s team’s rebuild. He’s still only 28, and on a team with zero expectations, can he be that all star player he was in 2022?
The Raptors Starters:
Immanuel Quickley
RJ Barrett
Andrew Wiggins
Scottie Barnes
Jakob Poeltl
The Raptors Bench:
Dennis Shroder
Gary Trent Jr
Moses Moody
Jonathan Kuminga
Chris Boucher
Ok Warriors fans, I’m ready for the backlash. But yeah this is my trade, lmk how you feel about it
