Toughts on this trade?

Based on today's information, its very likely that Jazz will extend Lauri's contract, so he will only be able to be traded until February (on the last day of the trade deadline). Almost the same situation with Valanciunas, he can be traded from September 4th onwards.

The package the Jazz are looking to move Lauri is 4 1st round picks, Moses Moody and either 2nd round picks or good role players, so I think what the Warriors give to Jazz is fair. This means for the warriors to use their team options on their contracts as can be seen.

The main issue with the Markkanen trade is the Stepien rule (a team cant have 2 consecutive years without a 1st round, for example 2029 and 2030), so in order for it to work a 3rd team needs to give the Warriors a 2030 1st round pick. I think that pick and Valanciunas are worth what the Wizards are receiving.
