The "Failed" falls away after January 15th, the trade would be fine come the deadline.
Another re-tool trade for the Warriors that addresses every major issue of the roster: clear #2 option (Jerami Grant), size and shot blocking at center (Jakob Poeltl), perimeter defense and floor spacing (Matisse Thybulle and Otto Porter Jr), plus Malcolm Brogdon is more playable than CP3 which is is a great addition.
Portland gets 3 young players and 2 FRPS to aid their rebuild, while dropping some massive contracts, and gaining a spot of consistency or another trade chip in Andrew Wiggins, as well as a mini-reunion with GP2, another flip-able piece. To make the money work with Toronto, Portland does have to eat the remainder of Thad Young's deal, which the Warriors compensate with a SRP.
Toronto gets another young piece, one of the best in his draft in Brandin Podziemski. Somewhat reminiscent of Kyle Lowry in his motor, effort, and versatility on the floor as a scorer, playmaker, defender, rebounder, just an overall swiss army knife. Yes, Toronto has to take on CP3's remaining contract, but for that, they get a slew of SRPs as well as Gui Santos, impressive young forward. I like to call him Brazilian Luka, but I think he'd be a fun piece for the Raptors to give a shot. He's also on a nice contract to help fill out the roster.
