Warriors - One of the Warriors major weaknesses this season was rebounding, specifically on the defensive end. We were severely undersized with Looney declining in performance and losing play time there was no one to get our rebounds. It was almost like every other center in the league were getting new career highs when it came to rebounding because of the amount of offensive boards they got. It's time to get a new center and put Draymond back to his true position power forward where he doesn't have all the burden placed onto him. If the Warriors go into a direction where they truly want to get competitive, I think they should fix this problem by finding a center that is a problem to other centers and that solution could very possibly be Clint Capela. Capela is a traditional center with his strengths being rebounding and blocking with his latest averages being 10.6 rebounds and 1.5 block. I will also mention that during the 2020-21 season he averaged 14.3 rebounds with 2 blocks which is impressive. I think he can produce similar to that if he were to play with the Warriors as he will be entrusted to getting boards. I also want to mention that his interior defense is great, he can defend against scoring attempts such as the pick and roll and covers the paint. He makes up for any poor defense that a team has and elevates them to an acceptable one such as the Rockets and made up for Trae Young's defense. Offensively, he tends to thrive when it comes to lobs which could be seen from his time with Harden. Imagine this with Steph who hss great playmaking because of his gravity and his chemistry with plauers, we've seen his ability to throw lobs up to players from the team such as GP2 and TJD, players in the all star games such as Giannis, and more recently during the Olympics Lebron. I think Capela would compliment Curry's game. This makes me believe he would be better than Looney for us, as much as I liked him for the effort he put in when it came to rebounding both defensive and offensive, I wished he did more put backs rather than grabbing it and throwing it out to someone else. Capela on the other hand is able to do that which I think can contribute a lot and add pressure to the opposing defense. Also for those who would argue he's not useful in the perimeter, we can have Draymond there full time and have them do a Timberwolves sort of thing where KAT guarded Jokic on the perimeter while Rudy watched out for Aaron Gordon's inside scoring. In this case Draymond would take on KAT's role. Overall I think this would be a solid pickup for GSW as it fixes our major weakness.

Lineup

Starting 5: PG - Stephen Curry, SG - Buddy Hield, SF - Andrew Wiggins, PF - Draymond Green, C - Clint Capela

Bench : PG - De'Anthony Melton, SG - Brandin Podziemski, SF - Kyle Anderson, PF - Jonathan Kuminga, C - Trayce Jackson-Davis

Unfortunately Kuminga gets pushed to the bench as Kerr said he'd most likely only play him at PF rather than out of position such as SF. I think Podz should stay on the bench as he can still be great there and his defense is better than Buddy Hield's so I think Buddy should join the starting lineup to make up for his defense. I think Podz and Kuminga can be a good bench duo.

Hawks - With the Hawks getting the first overall pick in this draft and picking up Zacharie Risacher, a 3&D player with a comp being Harrison Barnes. I personally like this fit as it can fit next to Trae Young depending if he leaves or not but I also think of him as a solid prospect. But in terms of the teams situation and direction, it seems like they have decided to rebuild especially with Dejounte Murray leaving and getting back Dyson Daniels and picks. They also have Jalen Johnson to build around. Now personally if I were to build a team around Trae and Jalen Johnson, I would lean towards 3&D players for spacing and defense. This would allow Trae to create for everyone and get people open which would have the opposing team focus their defense on the perimeter which gives room for Jalen Johnson to score inside. I would also try to keep the team young so here, I traded Moses Moody who is a 3&D player. He's a wing at 6'5 with a big wingspan that is great with the SG position, consistently proves himself but never gets a guaranteed opportunity to showcase his skills. Definitely a sleeper in my eyes. His shooting is great however he needs someone to create for him which is why he thrives when given the opportunity with the help of Steph and Draymond. I think Trae can play this role and playmake for him and bring out the best through a catch and shoot. Sort of like a Steph and Klay duo as Moody has good spacing and off ball movement. As for defense, he can't really guard quick guards as he doesn't keep up with them due to him being slow footed. It's his defensive IQ that allows him to either draw charges or find a steal. However he is able to guard bigger players such as small forwards. Another thing is that he has improved this season, he's gotten quicker and looking at another person's description more "loose" regarding his hips which he has gained more flexibility which helps defending and ability to move quickly. You can see he puts in the effort. During college he was also a strong rebounder but I can't elaborate on that as I don't follow college teams, all I knkw is that he had success on 2020 Montverde and I believe was the third best player behind Cade Cunningham and Scottie Barnes. Also to mention is that after a steal or intercept, he is amazing with the transition offense and open lane. If a defender is able to catch up to him he is able to slow himself down and create an opportunity for an and 1. Let me just say, he's been a major factor in cutting the lead because of this. He successfully draws fouls and is able to connect the shot. His finishing is honestly not talked about enough either. He's a great scorer. His weaknesses though are his playmaking and ball handling which affects his value and the way he's seen performance wise. I do think he can develop though if given the right opportunities such as play time. There were times where he performed well during games and Kerr would take him out as he usually does when players play well. The fans had to chant just for Kerr to put him in. We can only judge from those limited opportunities he's received on how he would do if given a permanent role and with that I can assume he would be really good. Something worth noting is his stats. During the 2022-23 season he averaged 4.8 ppg and 1.7 rebounds which this season jumped to 8.1 ppg and 3.0 rebounds. His free throw has also improved with his percentage going from 69.8% to 78.5%. Other than that he's a good guy, will never complain about play time and just positive each game. I don't think the Hawks would lose if they got him. On the other hand, this trade allows Onyeka Okongwu to develop through playtime. I've seen some people say the team is better when he and Jalen Johnson are on the floor together, specifically starting. From this, they said he averages 10ppg, 7 boards and 1 block but during his games starting he had 16ppg, 9 boards and 1.6 block. This could definitely be false but I assume it to be true. I think he can grow even more and be a quality player despite his size. Overall I think the Hawks could benefit from this as I think it's a solid return. They also get their second round picks back, it may not be much but it would be high second round picks considering how weak the team got.

Lineup (My personal opinion):

Starting 5: PG - Trae Young, SG - Moses Moody, SF - Zaccharie Risacher, PF - Jalen Johnson, C - Onyeka Okongwu

Bench; PG - Dyson Daniels, SG - Bogdan Bogdanovic, SF - De'Andre Hunter, PF - Larry Nance Jr, C - Cody Zeller

Moody can be swapped for Bogdanovic, I just think Moody would be more productive if he started.
