Trade Breakdown
POR: Kyle Kuzma, Rui Hachimura, ‘22 2nd (Via DAL), ‘26 1st (Top 5)
WAS: Eric Bledsoe, ‘22 1st (#7)
Reasoning
Portland
The Blazers have probably the most likely hood of trading their pick. There’s nothing at that spot that they really need which could lead them to trading down in the 2022 draft, trading for young players (Year 1,2,3), or future picks. In this trade, they get rid of one of the worst contracts (Eric Bledsoe) a future [protected] first (2026), and a 2nd from this year (Via Dallas). The Blazers also get a developing Kyle Kuzma, and young Rui Hachimura.
Trade Grade: B+
Washington
Washington is going into their first year of their rebuild (In My Opinion). They currently have the 10th pick in the draft and 2 seconds (BOS, DAL). One of the biggest issues is finding the future franchise player, weather that be TyTy Washington Jr, Shaedon Sharpe, or Jaden Hardy, that is yet to be determined. One thing we do know is that they have no good PGs, and too many PFs. In this trade you get rid of Two PFs, while gaining a rental, veteran PG to fill in that position. You also get another lottery pick to gain duo for the future.
What are the Picks
Pick 7: Johnny Davis, Shaedon Sharpe
Pick 10: TyTy Washington Jr, Dyson Daniels
