Wizards trade up from #18 to #12 using Corey Kispert and Marcus Smart, in order to have two lottery picks to supplement their roster. In addition, they regain control of their 2026 first which would otherwise be top-8 protected, and would turn into two second round picks if not conveyed. Heat move down 20 spots in the draft to turn Terry Rozier and Duncan Robinson into the more serviceable Marcus Smart and Cole Anthony, all while shedding significant salary for the season. Magic use their late first round pick and Cole Anthony to acquire desperately needed shooting in Corey Kispert, and receive a 2028 second as well. Bulls trade down from #12 to acquire #18 and #20, as well as picking up young prospects in Jett Howard and Colby Jones. Knicks grab a first round pick in this year's draft to add a cheap rotation player to their roster, and a 2027 second round pick, at the expense of a protected first round pick that likely would not have been conveyed.
