A trade for every NBA team | #12 Indiana Pacers

FAILED

Aight so this one's a bit more lowkey because the Pacers have a good thing going on and I really didn't want to mess with it. Adding, however, is definitely fair game.

I heard Blazers fans were loving what they were seeing with Caleb Love, and after watching maybe like 20 minutes of his clips I think I like it too. If you remember his biggest concerns going into the draft and why he ultimately ended up undrafted, it was because he was seen as an inefficient volume shooter in the 5 whole years he spent at college. Well, the inefficient part may still be true, but he's really bought into the teamplay over at Portland, becoming a real utility guy for them and doing the dirty work. The Pacers could use a guy like that, so they do this little deal that probably no one bats an eye toward and BAM! Rotational piece, or at least I hope cause I think this kid could be a damn fine addition to this Indiana group.

And for Portland, they found a diamond in the rough with Caleb Love, but I don't think he's really a long term piece considering everyone they have on the team. Could I be wrong? Maybe. Listen I'm not saying that 2 seconds is a package that's selling high on this undrafted kid, it could be possible that Love's really gonna put it together in this league, which again would've been really surprising to say at the start of the season. But again I go back to the point of they have a lot of guys who need touches in his position, people that they've invested way more into at this point than him. It's just a harmless trade I feel like and while I don't think Portland's gonna be eyes popping excited about 2 seconds, I also don't think they're gonna lose too much sleep at night for losing Caleb Love.
