So back in 2020 I was in love with the prospect of Jordan Love out of Utah St. had him 4th to Burrow, Herbert, and Tua in the draft. I thought he was a gunslinger, the closest thing I'd seen to a Patrick Mahomes out of the draft. Raw arm talent.

His Sophmore season was spectacular: 3600 yards, 32 TDs, 6 picks He fell in the draft due to his Junior year: 3500 yards, 20 TDS, 17 picks

But I believe the team was significantly worse as a whole too.

Either, I had a low first-round grade in him despite the majority of mocks having him in the 2nd round. I was happy that a team did draft him in round 1 but was shocked it was the Packers seeing as Rodgers wasn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Thus, Love began to sit the bench with all the Rodgers drama using him a motivation to win MVP and make consecutive NFC Championships... I began to forget my love for Love.

Additionally, Zach Wilson hit the scene. Another gunslinger compared to Mahomes. It's not that I never thought Wilson was a top prospect but I ALWAYS thought that Wilson was a slightly worse prospect than Jordan Love. And that Love was a better prospect than Trey Lance (not Fields I was a Fields guy... oops).

Zach Wilson BYU: 3700 yards, 33 TDS, 3 picks -Yes his peak season was better than Love but his two previous seasons were uneventful... a one-season wonder. Love had two good seasons an one elite one. -BYU also had a top 10 maybe 5 OL in the country despite not being close to a top 10 team. Love had no weapons no OL.

We would go on to watch the downfall of both Lance but ESPECIALLY Wilson as his gunslinger mentality lost the Jets a number of games. With Love just sitting on the bench I started to believe he was a bust because if he was the real deal like Mahomes then the Packers would have traded Rodgers by now was my thinking. I mean Rodgers was old, he was drama, and the MVP's value was at an All-Time high. Once Rodgers did leave it seemed to be his decision, not GB's and that was concerning to me.

That's why I had low expectations for Love this season despite my past love for Love. So I ask... Am I allowed to love Jordan Love and be his fan or am I a traitor for losing hope??
