I've told a couple people on here this, not sure how many of y'all know my story: I'm a college football player. I play offensive line for a division 3 school (won't reveal which, that's a bit overly personal) and I'm grinding every day to improve myself for this program. But if you told me ten months ago that I'd be here, I would have told you you were insane. Why? At that point, I was coming off a senior season in which I played twelve total snaps and had given up a sack on one of them. The previous season, I was on JV as a junior, and didn't even start. I am perhaps the least decorated high school player to ever make a collegiate roster, and I didn't do so through nepotism or anything else. I did it because I was the one who did not give up. Out of my twelve plays, ten of them didn't completely suck, so I compiled them together into a highlight reel that was just slightly over two minutes long, playing against the strongest competition in my state. I started posting on Twitter, filling out recruitment forms, and doing the whole athletic recruitment process. Somehow, my consistency was enough to get me two division 3 offers. Now, I am playing college ball despite next to no high school experience, and while I'm not the best on the team yet, I am able to compete with any player on our team, because I work hard on every rep.

Moral of the story? Don't EVER give up your dreams. If I got the opportunity to play college football, with no talent and next to no connections, you can do whatever you want to do in life. It doesn't matter where you are now. Just keep working.
