What in the actual h*ll were we doing there? We lost to the Giants in Week 18 last season, but whatever cuz we were resting starters and gearing up for the postseason, so you write it off. But coming into this year with all that offseason hype about "getting better" and "taking the next step," only to throw up a complete Sh!t show in Week 1.

The defense was an absolute mess. Our secondary is still beyond garbage, and Malik Hooker looks like he hasn't made a single adjustment or improvement since last year. It says something that P.J. Locke was out there outplaying him and I'm not saying he was good by any means but was better than Hooker. Would also like the point out Alijah Clark only had 1 tackle. but overall, there's zero discipline back there. It honestly felt like the only defensive scheme we had prepared was "tackle the guy and hope for the best" and even then, we still managed to let them hang 28 points on us. Giving up that much to the GIANTS right out of the gate week 1 is embarrassing. No disrespect to the Giants but fahhh lol.

And the offense? Underwhelming doesn't even begin to cover it. Watching Geno Smith throw for more yards than Dak on opening weekend is actually painful. The unit looked flat, out of rhythm, and completely uninspired. Emari Demercado taking is the greatest waste of a roster spot in a while and waving Joe Milton for him is a serious head scratcher for me. Malik Davis is hurt now so your telling me I have to watch even more Demicardo bruh. at this point he offers zero help. But the worst part had to be the tight end usage. Jake Ferguson ending up with 6 yards while Luke Schoonmaker gets more involvement is genuinely diabolical. How do you completely phase out one of your main targets in game one?

At this point, the only guy on the entire roster doing his job without failing is Bryan Anger. When your punter is the most reliable piece of your team, you know it's going to be a long season.
