NFL Offseason Winners & Losers

Here are the biggest Winners and Losers of the NFL Offseason.

Winner - Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders addressed a ton of needs, and then they end up keeping the best player on the team after trading him, because Baltimore got cold feet. The only thing preventing me from saying this is an A+ offseason for Vegas is them not addressing the WR room as much as they probably should’ve. They are going into next season with either Jalen Nailor or Tre Tucker as the WR1. Could a guy like a Donte Thornton Jr make a year two leap, maybe, but I find that unlikely. Raiders will probably be mainly throwing the ball to Brock Bowers and handing off to Ashton Jeanty with that new fortified offensive line blocking for him. I’m also a big fan of the Kirk Cousins signing to have him mentor Fernando Mendoza in the art of bag chasing. Overall I’d say this was an A- offseason for the Raiders.

Loser - Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jags lost a lot in Free Agency and didn’t address some needs in the draft. Devin Lloyd who was arguably the best defensive player on the team last year bounced to Carolina. Travis Etienne went to NOLA. They also lost Greg Newsome to the Giants (which granted, Newsome was not that great after being traded from Cleveland last year). They didn’t address linebacker at all until the 7th round of the draft. Just looking at the AFC I could see Jacksonville taking a major step back and missing the playoffs.

Winner - Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota picked up Kyler Murray on a nice little low risk high reward deal. If he plays well you re-sign him if he sucks then ok you only had him on a one year deal. But my favorite move from them was bringing in Jauan Jennings. Jennings, in my opinion, is the best blocking receiver in the NFL, and he’s a major threat in the redzone and on third down. The three of Jefferson, Addison, and Jennings forms a top two WR trio in the NFL.

Loser - Tyler Allgeier

Allgeier left Atlanta for Arizona this offseason because he wanted to leave the shadow of Bijan Robinson and be the RB1 on his own team. Only for the Cardinals to draft Bijan 2.0 in Jeremiah Love. He’d probably have a better shot at starting had he gone to Washington or something, but now the Cardinals can say they have the deepest RB room in the NFL with Love, Allgeier, Connor, and Benson

Winner - The Holiday Season

The games around Thanksgiving and Christmas time are going to be awesome!!! Starting with Thanksgiving Eve you have Packers vs Rams. On Thanksgiving Day it’s Bears vs Lions, Eagles vs Cowboys, and Chiefs vs Bills. And then closing things out on Black Friday we get Broncos vs Steelers which is alright. Then Christmas Eve is Texans vs Eagles. With Christmas Day having 3 games being Packers vs Bears, Bills vs Broncos, and a rematch of the NFC Title Game between the Rams and Seahawks.

Loser - Malik Willis

Willis had a choice between Miami and Arizona in the offseason and chose Miami, only for them to get rid of all their weapons besides DeVon Achane. WR1 is either going to be Malik Washington or Jalen Tolbert, when you were promised Jalen Waddle, that has to hurt. And it’s not like the TE room is anything special either. They have Greg Dulcich as the number 1. That running game between Willis and Achane better be spectacular for the Dolphins to try and get more than 5 wins.
