As everyone knows, the Seattle Seahawks are Super Bowl champions. I was rooting for the Seahawks to win, but more importantly the Patriots to lose. However, deep down, I had a different opinion. That option goes back to 2021 when I made a decision that would haunt me for the rest of my life. Let me explain;

In 2021, when I was just 9 years old, I got into the NFL. I watched the Super Bowl between the Bucs and Chiefs, and I fell in love with the game. There was one issue, I didn’t have a team.

Using my birthday money that I got that year I purchased Madden 22 on the XBox One. This would be how I would decide my team - I think you can tell how this is going.

It was between the Seahawks and the Titans, however the Dolphins were also in the hunt due to me having a Heat jersey as a baby, and almost being a marlins fan. Picking Seattle seemed obvious. Loved the colours, and in the same city as the Mariners. Team was pretty good as well. But something made me pick the Titans, and to this day I have no clue what that something was.

After the 2021-2022 season it looked like I made the right decision. The Titans ended up being the 1 seed, and an overtime win over Seattle in week 3 is something I’ll never forget. Looking back though, I wish that season never happened.

With our success, I asked my Dad for a Ryan Tannehill jersey for my 10th Birthday. That all but locked me in as a titans fan. I have always had a rule that one I buy a jersey/cap of a team, I must follow that team under all circumstances. This technically means that I could become a fan of the expansion Seattle NBA team since I don’t own a jersey or cap of the blazers. That is a story for another day however.

After that everything went down hill. We missed the playoffs and entered a rebuild. While I am excited for the future, I very easily could have a superbowl that I watched my team win. If the Titans win a superbowl in my lifetime I couldn’t care less, but until we do it’s gonna hurt.

To rub more salt into the wounds, being a Seahawks fan might of made me an Oklahoma City Thunder fan. If your wondering how this is, I would of been rooting for only Seattle teams, so I would of done some very simple research and I would be a Thunder fan. Giddey being on the team would have made it simpler.

Just have to blow off some steam
