Position: CB
School: East Carolina
Height: 6’3
Weight: 193 lb
Background:
Playing both football and track in high school, Revel started out his career at Louisburg College in his native North Carolina. From there, he transferred to East Carolina, where he did well in 2023. In 2024 however, he suffered a torn ACL. Despite this, his physical tools and 2023 campaign have him as one of the top corners this cycle.
Pros:
Exceptional length and frame which allows him to disrupt passing lanes and match up with bigger receivers
Elite straight line speed
Fluid hips
Great change of direction skills
Versatile defender who fits well in any scheme
Strong tackler
Special teams ace
Cons:
One year wonder
Can be overaggresive in coverage, thus leading to penalties and big plays
Needs to add functional strength to his frame to better jam receivers at the line
Zone coverage instincts are still a work in progress
Can do well in zone, but may require a learning curve
Advanced age
Question marks about competition in college
ACL tear a major red flag
Summary:
If Revel can rehab from his torn ACL and apply his elite traits to the NFL level, and if he lands in the right scheme, then he can easily become one of the best shutdown corners in the league.
