Potato's Mock Draft 3. BEST on Fanspo. Next Two Mocks Will Be My Official Prediction and Official 4.0 -"What Would I Do"

1:1 TEN Cameron Ward QB (Miami)

-He's a lock for a reason and its not because he's generational. Do I think there are generational prospects in this draft? Yes. But you've got to grab your QB or you will never actually know how good this team is. Can your WRs catch? Can your OL actually block? Can you move the chains? We don't know with Levis. Barring Ward is not a complete bust and at minimum a top 25 QB in the league Day 1. Questions will be answered and cleared picture for Tennessee will come. There is also the possibility that he is better than expected and a playoff push is a possibility in a weak conference. Even the best prospects in the class like Carter or Hunter do not have that "best case scenario" or answer so many key questions.

1:2 CLE Shedeur Sanders QB Colorado

-The same goes for Cleveland. However, you can make more of case that the questions they have are not nearly as immediate as Tenn who invested in the roster so heavily a year ago to find out if Levis was him or not. Either way the Browns need a reset. Imo it's easier to take the QB and build around him rather than building an, acquiring a worse pick, and taking the best QB available. Sounds like the Steelers if you ask me. And that's the best-case scenario, no man's land. And this is what you get for doing the worst trade in NFL history.

1:3 NYG Armand Membou OL (Mizzou)

-Surprising? Shouldn't be. Membou is fucking freak. He ticks all the boxes while still having a lot of upside where a good coach can get the best out of him. You don't need a LT with a healthy Thomas but the right side is a bust in Evan Neal. Neal is one of the most puzzling busts in recent memory, could it be that he can't play on the right? Maybe he just isn't a fit at T. I'll let NY figure that one out with their new QB Russell Wilson. Membou could easily become the best RG in the league by year 2 or (more likely) will take over the RT position from Neal. Could this unlock Neal by playing him at LG or RG?

1:4 NE Abdul Carter E (Penn St.)

-Bang. It should be no surprise to anyone that Carter is likely NE's number 1 prospect in the class taking what was an overrated defense in the summer of 2024 to an actual legit one when healthy.

1:5 JAX Ashton Jeanty RB (Boise St.)

-I ask you... why not? I repeat that Jacksonville was the most underperforming roster in all of football last year. They've got the QB, they've got the pass catchers. Yes you look at the roster and think wow all these players played like crap... But are they crap? I don't think so. They've got a new coach, going to be new systems on both sides of the ball. Sure you can decide the system now and try to guess what the best fit would be. Or you go out and get the BPA a legit baller and possible generational RB and you build the offense around him. Jeanty raises this teams floor exponentially straight out of the top 10 of next year's draft. Can you say the same for the other prospects in the top 10? QBs are boom or bust. T, E, WRs, can only do so much beating their man 1v1.

1:6 LV Travis Hunter CB/WR (Colorado)

-Is it falling? Or is it just that other prospects are rising to the top? Doesn't really matter for LV who loves to fuck up their draft picks, this is a no brainer. WR. CB. Both? Doesn't matter. Get him in the Black and Silver.

1:7 NYJ Will Campbell OL (LSU)

-I think this is as low as Campbell goes. Maybe 9? I doubt it. LT or LG either way I think this guy can be elite. He is experienced, athletic, and extremely consistent. I think the number 1 thing that let Rodgers down was the OL and DL. Don't let it be the same for Fields. So much less expectations for NY this year, can they surprise people?

1:8 CAR Derrick Harmon DT (Oregon)

-I am planning an article all about this guy being the most underrated prospect in the class Imo he is the best pure defensive prospect in the class before Carter and no one is talking about him. In a much shorter summary, I'll just say that Harmon is bigger, longer, and more traditional than Mason Graham. He was more productive than Graham this last season in both sacks, TFL, pass deflections, and forced fumbles. He was so a pressure machine collapsing the pocket, he was similar to Shemar Stewert who could get into the backfield but didn't always bring the QB down. Which is a lot more understandable by a 330-pound DL man then a heat seeking Edge rusher. Wanna know why Oregon was looking like the best team in the country for 6 months? It sure wasn't because of Dillon Gabriel... it was this guy anchoring the D.

1:9 NO Mason Graham DT (Michigan)

-Graham is not the most overrated prospect in the draft, he's still great. But there is a reason why he has so few pass deflections. He has short arms something crucial for any DL. He is light, the man put on weight for the combine, that is not his natural weight. And if he tries to stay that heavy it scares me as it will increase his injury risk and also limits his biggest strength which is his speed and ability to run East to West tracking down runners in the 1st level. This man was also surrounded by talent on Michigan last year and this year.

1:10 CHI Omarion Hampton RB (North Carolina)

-We keep seeing Jeanty mocked here but no other RB. Why? I could see a Bijan and Gibbs situation here. Hampton is the better pass catcher AND pass blocker then Jeanty. He's completely different but still amazing and consistent across multiple years. My concerns are with the ACC and multiple RBs and honestly many other prospects looking elite against shit competition and then being out of their depth in the NFL.

1:11 SF Shemar Stewart E (Texas A&M)

-Niners loves their DL and need DL. I'll be the first to admit that I heavily doubt Verse. He was not the type of Edge rusher I love. I didn't see the explosiveness and maybe I just hate on the ACC too much. But if you want to talk about the prospect who is the closest to Verse in this class its Stewert. I think a comfortable expectation would be somewhere between Verse and Kwity Paye. Which honestly either an average E1 or elite E2 when rushing next to Nick Bosa. My concerns will be if he struggled with bring down the QB after getting pressure in college will he struggle even more against more athletic QBs in the NFL or worse the ones who aren't quick but get the ball out even quicker.

1:12 DAL Tyler Warren TE (Penn St.)

-Jerry Jones has been "winning the draft" for years now. Taking the BPA regardless of needs. And to be fair it worked well. Barring a season ending injury to their QB the floor of this team is quite high, .500 at worst. Dak had a fantastic connection with Schultz and Lamb is kind of a one-man army in the passing game rn. Warren's dual ability will help the offense on multiple levels

1:13 MIA Walter Nolen DT (Ole Miss)

-Nolen is right up there with Graham and Harmon for me. Its really 1a. 1b, and 1c all in the same tier. He is different from them in his own way though. The most notable trait is that Nolen has the best get off and explosiveness out of the 3. He is a TFL and run stuffing machine. But due to his speed and lighter weight I think he has the potential to move around the DL and rush off the Edge at times, or line up as a nose. Might even project as a 3-4 Edge really well. Phins need DL with all their Es getting hurt and losing Wilkins one of the best run stuffers in the league.

1:14 IND Colston Loveland TE (Michigan)

-What more do I have to say? Colts have been desperate for a TE for years and wanted to trade up for Bowers last year. No need to overreact on Fries leaving the OL is still decent. brought in QB comp. They are stuck in no man's land until they get the QB figured out just like the Steelers. Its been the same for a half decade or more.

1:15 ATL Jahdae Barron CB (Texas)

-No Will Johnson? Don't be too surprised. Even if Barron was just a pure nickel Bland, it's being more and more valued. Barron is versatile and able to play inside and outside, like Sainistril. Barron plays with his mind he doesn't play his man or even the ball. He loves to read the QB and jump routes. He is a natural disguising his cover showing man or showing zone then switching. Do I think he's going to be hit with a big learning curve? Yes. NFL offense and pro QBs will reveal disguises, trick you with their eyes, or simply jsut out throw you with better arm talent. It helps to pair him with an elite CB1 in AJ Terrell and allow him to use his versatility more and go against less targeted less talented WR2s. I've also just always wanted Terrell to get more help and wanted them to get Quinyon last year.

1:16 ARI Tetairoa McMillan WR (Arizona)

-Big Tet falling? Ik its surprising but he's a little underrated. He's a tall lanky boy, surprisingly smooth and intelligent as a route runner. He owned the middle of the field and cooked on slants. Similar to Michael Thomas. I think his ceiling is capped. Especially considering he is NOT a contested pass catcher. The label is given way too much to WRs who are tall. The best-contested catcher in the class in Hunter who is physical and vicious. This guy not aggressive enough and does not get into jumping contests he liks his feet on the ground, he has a drop rate higher than Hunter, Golden, and Burden. When it is thrown up to him 50/50 he did not bring many down at AZ last year.

1:17 CIN Will Johnson CB (Michigan)

-Steal? I would say so. Unrealistic? I don't think so. Its a no brainer by Cinci who need help all over the defense but especially at CB and E. I think the Edge class drops off massively from Carter to E2. CB not so much. Even IF the arguable CB1 was just lying around here I could see them going CB. Last year's CB class was stacked and we saw several DBs fall in the class as well. He's not Quinyon but he's similar and close.

1:18 SEA Jihaad Campbell LB (Alabama)

-This guys continues to be getting buzz and talked about and its a testament to his extreme freaky athleticsm, cosnsitency, and upside. The question is... How high do you take a LB and do you even play him LB. I this he does scheme as an elite MLB but you have the oppurtunity to move him around to OLB or have him blitz up the middle.

1:19 TB Jalon Walker OLB (Georgia)

-Falling beacuase he is a bit of tweener. Not the biggest or most powerful Edge prospect. His arms are also too short for a lot of people's likeing. But the upside is there honestly more so as a 3-4 E (OLB) then at MLB for me.

1:20 DEN Quinshon Judkins RB (Ohio St.)

-Buzz that the Broncos want a RB. They went with the power back in Javaonte Williams last time. Could they do it again? For me Judkins is a very different profile then Hampton whch makes them a 2a and 2b situation. Powerbacks are becoming more and more rare but lethal in the RZ or 3rd and short.

1:21 PIT Jaxson Dart QB (Mississippi)

-Becoming more and more of possibility with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields both going to NY. As I have said twice now in this article, Steelers are stuck in no mans land. Its hard to see a way out of it. You can't fire Tomlin. You def can't blow it up. How do you take it to the next level? At first I was saying "stick with Wilson" because he has a proven and solid floor. Well the fuck cares about the floor if you're a Steeler fan? What is this teams cieling next year and years to come. Rodgers is an unknown. As it it could be even better then Wilson, possibly even magical. Or it is a bust. Either was you gotta keep SWINGING FOR THE FENCES. And that's what Dart is. Pickett was a bust but don;t let that scare you away. You just have to keep swining at QB until you hit one out of the park or at least a solid double right? Here's some facts about Dart. He is proven across ultiple seasons, dominated the SEC in gimickky college offense siilar to Herbert and Nix, he is mobile, average arm, and significantly better then other low 1st or high 2nd round picks like Pcikett or Levis. He's much closer to a Penix, Nix, or Love.

1:22 LAC Matthew Golden WR (Texas)

-The more I watch this guy the more and more I love him as a prospect. He's got it all. A true X. Which is fit so nicely next to a elite slot like McKonkey and bigger contested catchers like Mike Will and Johnston.

1:23 GB Josh Conerly Jr. OT (Oregon)

-Very solid very trustworthy T prospect. I think he much smoother, consistent, and battle tested then the next T going to be taken.

1:24 MIN Maxwell Hairston CB (Kentucky)

-Perfect perfect scheme fit. This guy is about one of two man to man monsters. He's also the fastest player in the draft with the ego to prove it. He went to war every week against the best WRs in the country in the SEC. Most shcemes are going toward zone schemes especially cover 3 and 4. (Eveyone plays some cover 2) Which means a CB like Hairston could slip in the draft but Flroes loves playing cover 0 and asking his CBs to jam at the line.

1:25 HOU Kelvin Banks OT (Texas)

-Is the Texans window already clsoed shut? As soon as they get their QB right they heavily invest in some of their biggest needs such as WR, RB, and E. After that great offense they got little to no where. And now they need to retool? The WR core is gone outside of Collins who might be injury prone? The IOL and IDL became the teams weakness and now they lose their starting T too. So where do we start with this retool and is it even possible to fix in a singular season. You ofc was to capitlized on Stroud's rookie contract before he's the next "record breaking" contract extention smh.

1:26 LAR Donovan Jackson G (Ohio St.)

-I've been comparing the top 2 Gs a little bit recently. Watching film, reading, listening to experts. And they are quite different. Booker is man who will go to war in the trecnhes and fight for every inch but he is not the fastest or most fluid guy out there. Jackson on the other hand can move, get down hill, and barrell ahead of the RB in the 2nd level. Its why he is capabale of play T, I can't say the same about Booker. Jackson more suited for outside zone blocking schemes which are taking over the NFL.

1:27 BAL James Pearce Jr. OLB (Tennessee)

-Really solid player. We all know that. Most of ya'll rate him higher then I. I'm starting to come around on him, I think he is destined to suceed on a good scheme fit with a good culture like Baltimore.

1:28 DET Malaki Starks FS (Georgia)

-Its not the biggest need but also the Lions don't have very many. The only Edge I could justify here without trading up was Ezeiruaku or Mike Green which I've done before and not that I don't like it admittadly I just like those players fits on other teams better. Starks could change this team though. Kerby Joseph is not making any miracles happen. With Starks the Lions secondary would have no holes and be deep and be young. Sound familar? Yeah because the Eagles just won a SB like that before you come crying to me about expierence or something else.

1:29 WAS Kenneth Grant NT (Michigan)

-Wash lost one of their DTs and can’t stop the run. Enough said.

1:30 BUF Nick Emmanwori SS (South Carolina)

-Freak athlete who is very rangey can come up info the box and make big tackles like Destin James.

1:31 KC Luther Burden III WR (Mizzou)

-Burden is te best route runner in the class with some of threat hands in the class. He’s super twitchy and quick like a better Toney or high end like Deebo. The YAC from KC will be insane and just how a west coast offense should be spreading the ball out to a number of playmakers from Kelce to Rice to LB3.

1:32 PHI Josh Simmons OT (Ohio St.)

-Eagles like to grab OL or DL before they truly need it. Simmons could go a lot earlier in the draft and would have if not for the season ending injury. Eagles are able to get their Lane Johnson replacement in the building and coach him up.
