The first NFL Sunday has finally come which means Fantasy Football is back in full swing. Here are my guys for week 1.
Quarterback:Jared Goff
With Cameron Jordan out there will be less pressure on Goff which will allow him to make better decisions, his receiver room is about the same as last year so he won’t have to worry about any issues there
Projected statline:25/34 291 yards, 2 tds, 0 ints 13 rushing yards (20.94 FPTS)
Running back 1:Ashton Jeanty
Even though Jeanty is coming off of a preseason injury he is feeling good and he’s matched up against a weak Dolphins defense. He should be able to capitalize on that and have a strong game
Projected stat line:19 carries, 112 yards, 1 td, 3 receptions, 17 yards (21.9 FPTS)
Running back 2:Tony Pollard
His team improved this offseason, adding new coaches and coordinators, hopefully this will help Pollard. He’s going up against a weak defense and will probably get a solid amount of touches
Projected stat line:16 carries, 83 yards, 3 receptions, 22 yards (13.5 FPTS)
Wide receiver 1:Nico Collins
With the lack of depth behind him right now, Collins will have a huge share of targets today. He doesn’t have an incredibly difficult matchup either which will help him
Projected stat line:11 receptions, 121 yards, 1 td (29.1 FPTS)
Wide receiver 2:Rome Odunze
He is going to play today despite injury concerns, with that he will likely have a similar split with Loveland and Burden. Despite less targets he will be able to use that to his advantage to catch the defense off guard
Projected stat line:6 receptions, 88 yards (14.8 FPTS)
Tight end:Colston Loveland
Similar reasons to Odunze but he was never injured. He will likely be the first option today and be Caleb Williams’ safety blanket when things get difficult and could be a red zone target for them
Projected stat line:7 receptions, 79 yards, 1 td (20.9 FPTS)
There were my favorite players for today’s slate, comment who you believe will beat the expectations today
