Carolina Panthers: CJ Stroud, QB Ohio State. Why: because they need a QB. Frank Reich seems to like the bigger quarterbacks, so it's him.
Houston Texans: Bryce Young, QB Alabama. Why: because they also need a franchise quarterback. Who else to take besides the best pocket passer in the draft?
Arizona Cardinals: Will Anderson, EDGE Alabama. Why: because they need help everywhere. Taking the best player available would instantly give them another cornerstone on defense. Anderson is probably the best player in general.
Indianapolis Colts: Will Levis, QB Kentucky. Why: because they ALSO need a QB. No other option. Levis, While needing much work in actually becoming a great passer, has some very intriguing traits that can make him a Josh Allen type player if he's developed properly. P.S.: I actually considered Lamar Jackson, but he's probably staying in Baltimore, and I don't think Indy trades two firsts.
Seattle Seahawks (VIA DEN): Tyree Wilson, EDGE Texas Tech. Why: Because they need help on the defensive front. I wanted to go Jalen Carter, but due to his bad pro day, questionable character, and the Dre'Mont Jones signing, we go with my favorite defensive prospect. He'd instantly become the best pass rusher.
Detroit Lions (VIA LAR): Anthony Richardson, QB Florida. Why: because even though I like Jared Goff, is he really the long term guy? I'm not sure. Richardson, while very very raw, has some very intriguing traits that could make him a player that could be better than Lamar Jackson in a few seasons. I also considered Carter, but he's not a guy that Dan Campbell would like on his team.
TRADE: Eagles trade up with the Las Vegas Raiders by giving up #10, and a third and fifth round pick in 2023 for #7
Philadelphia Eagles (VIA NO): Jalen Carter, DT Georgia. Personally I think he still goes in the top 10, due to his overall talent. It's just everything else. But if he can return to the way he ended the 2022 regular season, Carter is the best player in this class. And for an Eagles team that needs help up the middle, he'd fix that.
Atlanta Falcons: Lukas Van Ness, EDGE Iowa. Why: because they need pass rushing help. 19 sacks isn't cutting it. Van Ness has been shooting up boards and I believe that he could be the best pass rusher in the class. Would help that terrible defensive front a lot.
Chicago Bears: Peter Skoronski, OL Northwestern. Why: after the trade down, the bears can address multiple needs, including the offensive line. Skoronski can line up at tackle or guard, depending on what you think his arms are capable of. but he'd give Justin Fields some much needed protection.
Las Vegas Raiders: Devon Witherspoon, CB Illinois. Why: After trading down, LV has a chance to grab a #1 corner. Devon looks like he can be it. And with how bad that secondary is, he'd surely help improve it.
Tennessee Titans: Paris Johnson, OT Ohio State. Why: because they are a run heavy team with a terrible offensive line. Paris could start Day 1 and provide more gaps for Derrick Henry or whoever is running.
Houston Texans (VIA CLE): Quentin Johnston, WR TCU. Why: after drafting their franchise QB, Houston needs to get Bryce some options. Especially after the Brandon Cooks trade and not replacing him, Johnston, the top wide receiver, would instantly bring much needed help to a terrible Texans offense.
New York Jets: Broedrick Jones, OT Georgia. Why: this pick could end up with the packers after the Aaron Rodgers trade is completed. Right now, New York finally adresses the tackle position with arguably the top guy in the class. With Meckhi Becton, Duane Brown, and Max Mitchell not really looking like top guys, Jones could be.
TRADE: Seattle Seahawks give up picks 20, 2023 third and fifth rounders to the New England Patriots for #14.
Seattle Seahawks: Christian Gonzalez, CB Oregon. Why: because even with Tariq woolen, their secondary still sucks. Adding a guy who was incredible in coverage would help bolster that secondary immediately. By going all defense, it would put Seattle in a better position to go far in the postseason.
Green Bay Packers: Myles Murphy, EDGE Clemson. Why: even though it seems like he's falling, I still think Murphy has the tools to become a very good EDGE in the NFL. and for a packers team that needs help on the defensive line, he'd help them out.
Washington Commanders: Joey Porter Jr. CB Penn State. Why: because after filling in the offensive line need in FA, they can now add to a secondary that needs work. Porter has the tools to become a number one cornerback, and would help out Kendall fuller.
Pittsburgh Steelers: Jordan Addison, WR USC. Why: because he wants it to happen, and they want it. Adding him to a core of George Pickens and Diontae Johnson would give help out Kenny Pickett. Plus they've already built they're chemistry, so it won't be a big problem.
Detroit Lions: Nolan Smith, EDGE Georgia. Why: because the Lions need help on the defensive line. Smith, despite an injury, was still good and has been shooting back up boards. And when he's healthy it's easy to see why.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Darnell Wright, OT Tennesee. Why: this was a tough selection. But due to Tampa losing Donovan Smith and still needing help on the offensive line, Wright was my pick. He dominated Will Anderson this year and showed nice mobility.
New England Patriots: Zay Flowers, WR Boston College. Why: the Patriots really like this guy, and don't have a ton of speed at wide receiver. Flowers may not have to start right away, but eventually could be given the keys to become a good number 2 receiver, or potentially #1 in the future.
Los Angeles Chargers: Calijah Kancey, DT Pitt. Why: they need help stopping the run. Kancey could start day one and immediately provide relief to the linebackers and Brandon Staley. While undersized, he looks very good.
Baltimore Ravens: Jaxon Smith-Ngjiba, WR Ohio State. Why: Baltimore needs a wide receiver. While injury concerns due exist, Jaxon looked like the best receiver in this class a year ago, and if he can consistently stay on the field, would give Lamar Jackson a much needed target.
Minnesota Vikings: Bryan Bresee, DT Clemson. Why: Minnesota needs all the help on defense, and Bresee can replace Dalvin Tomlinson and help stop the run. For a D that's going young and needing more talent, Bresee can provide that.
Jacksonville Jaguars: Deonte Banks, CB Maryland. Why: tricky selection here, but due to Jacksonville needing more corners, Banks is the pick. He doesn't have to start immediately, but eventually can come in and pair nicely with Tyson Campbell, their young rising star.
New York Giants: Kelee Ringo, CB Georgia. Why: after adding Darren Waller, pass catcher isn't the biggest need anymore. cornerback is. Adoree Jackson needs help, and Ringo, while not having the best tape, can be very good in man-to-man coverage. For Wink Martindale who does play lots of man, he could thrive.
Dallas Cowboys: Siaki Ika, DT Baylor. Why: Dallas needs help up the middle, and Ika has had great workouts that have seen him coming back up boards. He would help fix a leaky run defense. I thought about tight end, but it seems like their trusting Jake Ferguson to fill in.
Buffalo Bills: O'Cyrrus Torrence, OL Florida. Why: I really wanted to go running back, but I think Buffalo will sign someone. So why not go with someone to help protect Josh Allen? Torrence is a plug-in-play who can play multiple positions, and would give allen some more room to scramble.
Cincinnati Bengals: Michael Mayer, TE Notre Dame. Why: after solving the tackle problem with Orlando Brown, Cincinnati can now replace Hayden Hurst with the best tight end in the draft. Mayer's receiving abilities would make the Bengals offense even more potent than it already is.
New Orleans Saints: Jaylin Hyatt, WR Tennesee. Why: Chris Olave is great, but Michael Thomas can't stay healthy and they don't really have anyone else. New Orleans needs to give Derek Carr some help, and pairing Hyatt's speed with Olave would make for a fun receiving duo.
Philadelphia Eagles: Bijan Robinson, RB Texas. Why: he reportedly had a nice meeting, and Philly loves to pound the rock. Imagine adding Bijan with that offensive line and pass catching core? It would be unstoppable.
Kansas City Chiefs: Josh Downs, WR UNC. Why: after losing JuJu Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardmen, the Chiefs get a great wide receiver to pair with MVS and Travis Kelce. Downs hardly ever drops the ball, and would help keep KC's unstoppable offense even more unstoppable
