This is my 300,000 GM score celebration an article I’ve planned to make for a long while now enjoy

Pittsburgh has been one of the most storied teams in the history of the NFL from our 6 Superbowl victories and legendary defenses and stars for every position.

But in the past half decade the Steelers have been mismanaged dysfunctional and hilariously mediocre so let’s take a deeper look at what’s gone so terribly wrong in the organization.

For starters we are one of the worst franchises ever when it comes to player and locker room management we always let star players go at the wrong times and hold onto washed veterans for far to long.

Examples of such are Ben Rothlesberger, Marquis Pouncey, Cameron Hayward and many others but these few are the best examples of it now were these players particularly terrible no and they still played a role on a playoff team or even multiple of them but the point remains we hold onto players too long.

And that’s not nearly our biggest problem locker room disfunction and players who cared more about stats and showboating then actually winning games.

So let’s enter: The Steelers WR problems

Not only has it been nearly a decade since we’ve had a star receiver but all the best ones we’ve had over the past decade and a half have been more self destructive then a bee when it stings.

Antonio Brown 🐝

A legendary WR with some truly immaculate stats and accomplishments however he had more than a few loose screws and it showed especially later into his career and now post career even more so then ever before.

Post AB receivers

This is where the bad gets worse the next guys we had were just as arrogant and stupid as Brown but not even a 1/5 as good as him that resulted in Pittsburgh having guys like Claypool Juju Smith and George Pickens egos get in the way of what matters winning.

And even are more veteran receivers we’ve added have either been ineffective inconsistent or equally as arrogant just like DK Metcalf swinging at a fan 🤦

Now this may seem like the worst of our problems over the last decade but it’s only scratching the surface.

The paper curtain.

Our defense always gets so much hype and sometimes it performs well however we always crack under the pressure and almost every big important game or especially the playoff games this intensifies to the point of an all out collapse of our team.

And our defense is the anchor of our whole team if our defense plays bad the offense plays worse how often does our defense collapse and our offense go stagnant now last year wasn’t the prime example of that but in the past it’s been unbelievable pathetic and sad but at the same time laughable 😭

Now obviously our defense is still the strong point of the Steelers 💪 and we have been good there more so then not but it’s the timing of our bad games that’s so sad.

Now here’s where we get into the fun part the draft woes.

Pittsburgh and especially a certain coach we like to praise for his drafting capabilities have been one of the worst team at drafting get this offense and that just so happens to always be what we need yet it’s our biggest weakness.

Prime example of this is Kenny Pickett and I love Kenny but this was a miss and that seems to be all we do in the draft is miss and never get guys who even make it to a second contract 💵 💰

And our biggest issue isn’t even the draft cause later rounds and defensive we are good in the draft but we miss on the early picks and fail to get what’s really needed.

Now onto my personal favorite part the management and coaching of the team.

Mike Tomlin oh where do I begin on him well let’s see 👀

Mike Tomlin gets praised for being a great winner and always getting winning seasons but all he does is get empty wins that hold no meaning and you wanna know why.

BECAUSE HE NEVER DOES THE THING

HE NEVER WINS IN THE PLAYOFFS AS A MAYYER OF FACT ITS BEEN NEARLY A DECADE SINCE OUR LAST WIN AND MORE THEN ANYONE ELSE ITS HIS FAULT

Now that I've vented I’ll try to share the rest of thoughts as objectively as possible.

Mike Tomlin is great at coaching a defense and coaching good players into being worse than they can sure but that’s not even a good trait.

He’s praised for his motivation as a coach and ability to coach raw talent of young players but that’s not the case and if you think it is then lemme ask you this then why do players on this team under Tomlin consistently under perform and show low effort more often then not 🤷

You can’t argue with the proof that presented itself on the field dozens of times and once again the center of our problems is Mike Tomlin.

The Tomlin era started out great and looked promising but every decision since then has sent us in a downward spiral 🌀 that seemingly goes deeper and deeper.

I’ve even had moments or pure physical and mental pain and exhaustion caused by this team but I guess that shows just how much I care.

Not blaming it all on him though NO NO NO if Mr Khan thought he was getting off the hook he’ll be damned 🔥

He’s just as big of a problem as Mike Tomlin and has even more control yet he keeps his job and Tomlin kept his for as long as they did it’s to be completely honest absolute BS and nothing but self sabotage to the organization and a big slap in the face of the fans.

Khan is also unbelievable in the fact that he had power to do something about our terrible coordinators and the lack of effort holding the damn coach accountable and do your job.

But clearly that wasn’t the focus of him or the people higher up.

The Rooneys

Yeah they aren’t safe either no one is I am letting everyone know and feel the frustration I’ve been carrying with me for far too long.

So let me ask some questions to them 1. Do you realize that the fans of this team have been asking for change hope anything that shows you actually care. 2. Do you realize that the team has been run by pure incompetence for many years. And 3rd and this is my most important question DO YOU EVEN CARE ABOUR WINNING OR THE FANS.

I can’t describe how enraging it is when the owners promise you something and then do the opposite and when they couldn’t care any less about their team that they leave a mediocre GM and HC with even worse coordinators and people around them it’s something that has driven me crazy for years.

The happy moments 🥳

I don’t want this article to be me only complaining of how poorly ran this franchise is so here’s the things I’ve loved about this team.

The theming and colors 🖤💛

The biggest reason I fell in love with this team isn’t just its success and my family liking them it’s the theme and the swagger they had about them.

Let it be known that I whole heartedly believe Pittsburgh has the best colors uniforms and gimmicks of any NFL team and I will die on that hill 💪

I also love the Steelers social media personalities and the fans of the community I know a lot of Pittsburgh fans and all of them have been people I’ve gotten along with and became friends with in some sense I can’t say that about any other team.

And finally perhaps my favorite thing about this team is the history they have not just the winning though the story of how they came to be how they were formed as a franchise heck I could make a whole article just about that ✍️

My point is I do love the Steelers❤️ I always have and absolutely always will despite my frustrations I’m a diehard fan who loves this team and the community that’s built itself around it 🔥🔥

Finally let’s talk about the future of the franchise and how it could be impacted by this major offseason we had.

First off let me say THANK YOU GOD. Mike Tomlin has moved on from the Steelers organization and we can finally turn a new leaf 🍃

We started by hiring a new coach for Pittsburgh Mike McCarthy and by doing this we finally move towards focusing on building our offensive identity and becoming a true contender on the future.

Now even I understand that this journey to new beginnings will be a long hard fought journey that will not be a swift rebuild a complete one year turnaround but a rebuilding team not just for the roster but hopefully the organization and the fans ❤️

I really hoped you enjoyed this I didn’t come into this planning on using hard stats I wanted to approach it with my emotions and true unfiltered opinions on what’s gone wrong and still show how much I love this team.
