There would definitely have to be some picks involved in this deal going to BKN and to Milwaukee from Orlando and one from the Lakers to complete the deal. Still not sure if I have where they are going right.
Lakers: Turning AR and Gabe Vincent into Nic Claxton would be a dream come true for the Lakers, whose lack of size and rim protection was on full display in G5 against the Wolves. Losing one of the most valuable players in the NBA by production for his payroll hit is tough, but the Lakers will make do on the perimeter.
Nets: The Nets finally go into full tank mode and send out their last good players to absorb the Dame contract. I didn't include them in the initial formation of this deal, but the Nets would also be getting 3 or 4 first round picks out of this deal from Orlando. The Nets are dying for one high-end player to come to their team and be there for more than 3 years. Hopefully more draft capital can facilitate that.
Bucks: Giannis has demanded out from the Bucks in this scenario and Dame is unlikely to play next year with his Achilles injury and certainly won't be a good player if he does come back next year, so they decide to move on from both. They get a glutton of guards, most of which are at minimum useful NBA players, along with Cam Johnson. The Bucks would also be getting 2 FRPs in total, one from the Lakers and one from Orlando. This package is a strong catalyst to the rebuild for the Milwaukee Bucks.
Orlando: Moving on from the exciting young guards on this team doesn't feel worth it; however, will any of them become Giannis? No. Giannis and Banchero together are an exciting combination and raises the ceiling for the Magic. Losing 4 FRPs in this trade is what the cost of receiving Giannis is. The Magic would definitely have some work to do, but this accelerates the timeline and maybe takes them to a place that they never would have gotten anyway.
