SUCCESS

I think I cooked too much here. Feel free to share your thoughts below. With the Spurs and Rockets being involved in this deal, there would definitely be some picks being bandied about in this deal, I just wasn't sure where, so I didn't include any.

Rockets: Jalen Green has worn out his welcome with no improvement to his production in his time in the NBA and is improving at a snail's pace if at all. Reed Sheppard never saw the floor in the playoffs other than in garbage minutes. You replace inconsistent shooting with at least consistently mediocre shooting to try and buttress a hopefully rapidly expanding offensive game this offseason from Amen Thompson and a Nikola Jokic-lite in Sengun. Harrison Barnes is also an expiring contract and can be moved again after this or released if the Rockets do not want him around.

Bucks: Giannis decides to ask out after losing in 5 to the Pacers, frustration taking over with a lack of competitive roster around him. For a return of Zion, Jalen Green, and Stephon Castle, Milwaukee gets the largest bang for their buck in this trade. Whether that bang results in being competitive is a difficult question to answer, but they also could be getting one of their own picks back from New Orleans possibly to render the idea of being competitive as pointless(see above regarding lack of picks in the trade).

Pelicans: The Pelicans are in a terrible position with Zion, who has ate himself out of being an All-NBA level player into being fringe All-Star at best. They get out of the Zion business, who desperately needs a change of scenery, and return Reed Sheppard for him. The idea for the Pelicans is to prevent themselves from being at the end of the lottery for the foreseeable future and land a superstar or two in the following drafts. They take on Bobby Portis from Milwaukee as salary filler, who hopefully can give them some productive minutes.

Spurs: "Why are the Spurs giving up on Stephon Castle already? He just won ROTY!" You are flipping him, an expiring contract in Harrison Barnes and a slightly overpaid poor man's Devin Booker for Giannis. The Spurs would have the Twin Towers 2.0 with Wemby and Giannis with Fox to boot as build arounds for the roster. They still get to keep perpetual 6th/7th man Keldon Johnson and Jeremy Sochan on the roster. The only concern with this trade is losing most of your outside shooting from the top of the rotation.
