Trade 1: Kevin Porter Jr. & 2026 BRK FRP for Spencer Dinwiddie. Rockets give Brooklyn their pick back, replace KPJ (who'd get waived immediately after this transaction) with a talented veteran who can play on or off the ball.
Now while Dinwiddie may not be worth a full first-round pick, the bad PR of obtaining Porter certainly raises the price tag on any player he's traded for.
Trade 2: Dorian Finney-Smith for Patty Mills and a protected Kings first. Hawks replace John Colins with the perfect PF to put next to Trae Young. Dorian is a terrific defender who thrives offensively next to ball-dominant shot creators.
Trade 3: Royce O'Neale & Patty Mills (who'd also get cut immediately after) for Evan Fournier and a late first (via the Bucks). Knicks get a backup PF (their current backup PF is Isaiah Roby lol) and get a bit more breathing room beneath the luxury tax. A guy like Royce is Thibs' wet dream. It's worth noting that Brooklyn isn't allowed to trade for Patty Mills this season, so he'd have to be flipped along with trade 2.
Also, Fournier's contract is technically expiring (there's a team option for next season which 30/30 teams would decline. I don't believe the Nets would accept this trade otherwise.
