I'm not sure what I think the first pick is worth.
I would think the bucks would be interested in 4 picks, 2 swaps, and a prospect. one of the picks and the swaps being theirs. Sharpe is a nice prospect that's already scoring 20 points per game. they get Portland picks and an Orlando pick in addition to the swaps back and the 29 best of Milwaukee, Portland, and Boston pick. I haven't seen a realistic deal floated better than this, unless OKC or the Spurs decide to get involved, for Giannis.
I would think Mobley next to Sarr with Johnson's shooting and the other pieces they have becomes interesting pretty quick. the thing I think is that they won't trade the first overall pick unless they stay in the top 4, even though there is noise about them being willing to trade the pick, but you don't stay in the top four and get Mobley so it would depend on how interesting it is to get one of the elite young bigs in the league and get off of Davis.
For Portland they get a top prospect as upgrade to Sharpe at the cost of a lot of draft capital, the upside is three 6'9" guys in AJ, Deni, and Toumani as the swing men with Clingan, RW3, and Davis as the bigs and Dame, Jrue, and Scoot as the guards for a nine man playoff rotation. I think that team competes against OKC and the Spurs, I don't know if it can win but it's no push over. I'm not sure I can think of a better opportunity for Portland to try to get better, if I was Portland, I would think even if Washington pulled out of this trade it would be smart to try to grab Mobley. I don't really want Davis, but Portland has reportedly had interest I don't understand. if I was Portland, I would also try to get Portis, Portland is desperately in need of shooting, ideally adding Dame, AJ, and Portis would be a solution to those shooting needs.
I think it's a good trade for Portland, Milwaukee, and Cleaveland, for sure. I think it's a good idea for Washington but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't do it for optics reasons and I think I'm being unreasonable about the value of the pick. would adding Mobley influence a guy like Durrant to go home to DC, if that happened how competitive could they be?
