I think I will hear from all parties why they don't like this trade, but I want to give it a run and see what people think.

the Hawks build up the front line to the best in the east and still have Risacher and Trae to support it and walker. they probably need a buyout guy to come and give support minutes, but I think they won't have a problem with this roster in Atlanta being a place people want to go. Jalen and Dyson and the draft capital might be too much for Giannis and Turner, but they would immediately become title favorites, I think.

Portland unloads all the draft capital to bring in Dyson and Jalen, 5 pick and 2 swaps. they play hard this year and make the playoffs but set up next year and the year after to try to win with a healthy Dame. they probably need to do just as much without getting Dyson realistically if they hope to get Jalen in the trade. Deni and Jalen are the next 10 years in Portland.

Milwaukee gets bad. they probably find another home for Grant who is playing really well. they probably try to get Scoot or Sharpe in the trade to be the beginning of the rebuild. buy they take the two picks they now have in the lotter and can lean into those picks because they have all their own drafts back for the next five years and have the Orlando 28 the Portland 28 and 30 and 32. there is a chance my draft capital math is off and the need to trade Chicago a second to pull the protections off the pick they traded them to make this all work.

I don't think this is the final form of this trade with draft capital that could move around, players that could move around, and rules to consider. it is a Giannis to Atlanta, Portland takes the young players in the trade, and Milwaukee loads up on picks and gets all their draft rights back getting out from under all the nonsense they have done to try to woo Giannis.
