Pistons worst weakness was spacing around Cade, they went out and signed Duncan Robinson. They already have a solid defensive identity, but the issue is that when deploying defenders like Ausar Thompson they lose shooting and therefore, spacing. Just think about the lineup this trade would create:

Cade, Ausar, Robinson, Markkannen, Duren.

No more spacing issues, everybody defends and is switchable, Cade has even more room to operate having a co-star in Markkanen rather than waiting for Ivey and finding out if he will or not be that player.

Hard to let go Ivey and really liked Tobias Harris this year, but i think this is absolutely worth it, and despite handing 4 second round picks, they keep their first round picks. Also get veteran presence in kevin love as a mentor for the young guys.
