The jazz need to commit to a rebuild and they get 6 picks here.

The Knicks need this trade. It completes their team. Just flat out completes it. They immediately become favorites along with thunder and Celtics.

Kessler has been mocked to us for a year now but Ainge is the problem. He always wants too much. This time I wonder if anyone actually wants to match this.

As for Sexton, he is essential. A proven scorer off the bench and a dog on defense. If Bridges or Hart isn’t playing well he could start next to Brunson.

Jazz fans, if they remember they are in the cooper flag sweepstakes, would see the value here in young talent, 6 picks , an expiring contract and a proven starter in mitch(when healthy)

Brunson/Bridges/Hart/Anunoby/Towns Payne/McBride/Sexton/Kessler. Still have Hukporti and Sims for depth.

An alternative lineup would involve starting McBride at the 2. Brunson/Deuce/Bridges/Anunoby/Towns would be truly 5 out spacing. Sexton could back up both guard spots, Hart bot…

The Knicks need wing depth and defense. Lakers need a center. Grizzlies get center depth and help with money.

Who says no?…

But how to make sure that Lakers stay relevant but mostly build for the future?

The Knicks move off of some lesser depth and Mitch to add the wing and center depth they Desperately need. The clippers move off a bench player who is less needed with Kawai back to add a starting PF. The warriors pair Lebron with Curry and see if the Olympians have one more run in them. The lakers get Mitch, Kuminga and Wiggins to start with Reeves and Doncic. This bench would also be extremely deep and Knect has time to grow now….

This is a situation the Knicks should take advantage of.

If the pacers don’t want to resign Miles and the Knicks might view him a a winning piece, this could complete several teams. The pacers would definitely get a huge defensive boost and lots of depth. Most of their bigs aren’t known for rebounding. Both Mitch and precious are. The pacers could possibly get more but this isn’t the worst payout for an expiring non all star…

The Grizzlies get a serviceable athletic backup for a couple 2nd rounders. They are here to balance the money.

Knicks get a stretch center who can allow them to maintain their play style when Towns is on the bench and can also play next to him easily. The Knicks get another shooting boost and he can rim protect a little too.

Thoughts? Remember that the pacers don’t want to pay him…….

And it costs very little more. Vuc is having a career year shooting and that will only continue on the Knicks. He doesn’t solve any of our defensive issues, BUT NEITHER DOES JONAS SO IM TIRED OF SEEING HIM MOCKED TO THE KNICKS. Vucevic will give us excellent rebounding, stretch scoring and size. Same as Jonas but better. So if we really can’t get anything else other than Jonas or Vuc, it’s not even close IMO. Vucevic would play 25-30 minutes, Deuce 20-25, and Shamet/Payne pick up 10-15 if they are lucky. Those are the best numbers we can hope for from Thibs…

OG isn’t for sale but if he was….

Kessler in the starting lineup with the bench locked in as

McBride / Sexton / Thompson / Achiuwa / Stewart

That’s a title favorite. Period…

Hear me out.

I know this trade doesn’t help the jazz unless they have a perfect trade lined up for picks and assets.

For the Knicks here is why you would do this. Roster flexibility in two years instead of 4. Massive bench depth NOW. A rotation that even Thibs will fully utilize for once. Here is the Rotation, with both Kessler and Towns starting then staggering all center minutes afterwards. Starters minutes all drop by 5 mpg. Brunson/Bridges/Hart/Towns/Kessler Payne/Kolek/Sexton/McBride/Shamet/Dadiet/Collins/Achiuwa/Sims/Hukporti…

All of these have been proposed by other people. All 3 trades are reasonable. Then we bring in Tj Warren with our new cap space

Brunson/Hart/Bridges/Anunoby/Towns McBride/Clarkson/warrem/whitmore/Richards Payne/Kolek/shamet/toppin/hukporti…

But that’s a proven playoff defender in brown and a possible starter in Kessler. I think the Knicks must at least consider this move if it’s available, as much as it would hurt to move on from Deuce McBride…

The Knicks need to make a serious move to fortify their bench and it needs to be something that is POSSIBLE. Therefore players like Clarkson that I’ve previously mentioned are not ideal due to their low efficiency are back on the table. In this case, the desire of Utah to get off his contract makes moving Kessler easier, something they don’t want to do. In return they get another young center in Richards who is on a similar 2 year deal to Kessler and gets some of the production back. The prize is McBride, who could start immediately and makes their shooting far more dangerous. Kolek and Dadiet both represent first round talents and we are loath to let them go. But a championship is literally all that matters. The picks aren’t a ton for Utah but with the 4 young players they are getting on cheap deals it’s arguable this is impossible for Utah to pass this up. The hornets eat a little salary me move on from Richards. If Mitch ever gets back to full strength, they win this entire d…

The entire bench is changed in this scenario. All 4 players would immediately play from day one and compose the bench along with Payne and shamet. All veterans, no rookies.

I don’t want to hear that the jazz and nets would want more. Of course they would. Everyone wants more. This is still reasonable because none of these are players that either team intends to resign; clarkson and Thomas especially. Both centers are cheap but each team has indicated a willing was to trade them before. In return they get expiring contracts, Mitch, rookies, or picks. Like every other trade ever so try not to complain too much k 😂…

This is a lot of cheddar. OKC has plenty to spare. Knicks drop the little they have left. Cameron is ideal for OKC and Cam/day’Ron are great for Knicks bench.

Nets get 4 firsts 2 seconds and two solid role players. Big win for them…

All three are playoff bound with obvious holes

Rockets consolidate their talent to get OG, an immediate starter on any team that fits any team and fits any offense or defense. Sims is strong defensively. OG, Sengun, Brooks, Green, Van Fleet is nasty.

Knicks do this trade to get depth. This trade is the perfect blend of ideal bench players. Amen takes over as a starter. Brunson, bridges, hart, Thompson, towns with smart, deuce, shamet, smith jr, Adams bench. Rookies aren’t traded and develop further with time.

The grizzlies have plenty of depth 1-4 but lack production in the post. This trade provides that and Payne is a proven Locker room plus who can occasionally get hot. Picks are just a bonus…

In fact im still salty with Durant for spurning NYK the first time in free agency. That being said

Brunson. Bridges. Hart. Durant. Towns………………. Payne,Deuce,Shamet,Achiuwa, Hukporti.

No center depth at all. But this starting lineup would set scoring records. It would be quite the sight…

The Knicks would need this much back to let OG go.

The pelicans get literally the only upgrade over Herb in OG for what they are: 3 and D wings. Kuminga and picks and an expiring for BI is good too. And kuminga will probably accept the amount that BI turned down. Good haul for them.

Warriors get a second scorer to pair with Curry and Green who is ready now, unlike kuminga who might be next year. Mitch is better than looney when healthy….

This trade doesn’t change either team much. Mitch has experience playing with quickly and Barrett which helps Toronto. 4 picks is solid. Precious is an expiring contract.

Poetl could start but won’t. Instead either he or McBride is first off the bench. In the playoffs, the Knicks often go 7 deep. Poetl and McBride in this role would be nearly ideal. As for depth, after the starters it’s Payne/Deuce/Shamet/Poetlwith Kolek/McCullar/Dadiet/Hukporti/Sims. Sims could still be moved for picks or Wing depth…
