At this point, Jonathan Isaac never lived up to the hype, and is now considered "bad." So Magic get off of his contract which they would need to anyways to pay all the young guys, and Magic add more shooting on to the team with Josh Green.

The Hornets only center before this trade would be Moussa Diabate, but with John Isaac, They would at least have 2 centers (6' 10") on the team.
