Bulls get multiple expiring contracts back and get off of the Patrick Williams contract.

Lakers get an actual rotational player in Patrick Williams instead of Maxi Kleber and Gabe Vincent. They also get a great backup Center in Vuc so they don't have to rely on Jaxson Hayes. Plus if there is anybody in the league who improves the players around them, it is Luka Doncic, so we might be able to see Patrick Williams hit his peak for the first time.
