The 2021 draft class is one of the deepest and most exciting classes that I can remember since I have been an NBA fan. Every pick in the first round will have legitimate star or high end role player potential. The thing that stands out most has to be the amount of guards in this class. It seems like there are 15+ first round talent guards and you could make an argument for any of them as the next best after the three stars (Cunningham, Green, Suggs). I also see more defense and defensive versatility in this class than any other since the Anthony Davis draft in 2012. As always there are a few players at the top in a tier above the rest but after that it gets wide open and you see anywhere from 10 to 25 players names rounding out the lottery depending on the mock draft you look at. Teams to keep an eye on will be the Rockets who have multiple picks and will make a run at #1 overall if the Pistons are selling, the Thunder who have multiple first rounders as we all know, the Warriors who have two lottery picks to be used either in a trade package or to bolster the surrounding cast, and the Knicks who I think will make a blockbuster trade involving their picks either to move up or to acquire a star player.
