  • Defensive weaknesses masked in zone looks

  • Diverse ability to score in iso post-up situations using strength on the low block, as well as a high-quality Dirk fade

  • Quick recognition of doubles & pass outs

  • Good touch around the rim

  • Attempts to help on drives in awkward positions, often not affecting shots

  • Slow step ups on drop coverage on pull-up looks

  • Poor extension & vertical defending perimeter shots

  • Poor ball tracking & adjustments to midair rebounds

Very unique offensive player as he is kind of a point forward that can pass and handle as a 7 footer. Capable of hitting a 3 but definitely not his strong suit. Little soft but very polished. Ok defender for his size. Shades of a bigger Kyle Anderson on offense

High End: Alperen Sengun Low End: Sandro Mamukelashvili Median outcome: Santi Aldama/Boris Diaw/Kelly Olynyk Pros: Passing, shooting, size, rebounding Cons: Athleticism, turnovers Verdict: Very fluid for his size, but has the tendency to make too many turnovers by putting too much flash or just general tunnel vision. Wolf is sometimes too aggressive in looking for the pass as opposed to just scoring the easy point. Also an intriguing shooter with real volume from three, so possibly projects to be a pick and pop DHO big in the league when factoring in passing. What makes him even more of an enigma is his FT% which does not seem to correlate at all to his actual ability. The general big man stuff is okay, but there's questions on him in a point forward type role because Wolf's lateral athleticism is quite limited with him struggling against some of the lengthier players in D1 and it will certainly play a huge part on whether or not he will be able to keep up with more athletic players in the league.

p.s. really good dRating on this UMich team though, despite not being an amazing rim protector.

Is a big with guard skills. Really good playmaker. Can knock down the three, not a great defender.

Comp: Naz Reid/Karl-Anthony Towns/Bobby Portis Jr.

  • elite ball handle for a big (7’0”); allows for confusing inverted pick and roll actions

  • great passing vision and IQ—insanely quick process and pass accuracy/versatility

  • loves throwing passes from the high/low post and from the top of the key; may enter the league as one of the best cross-body and skip passers in the league; jokic esque

  • elite positional spacing; great three point shooter off the bounce and has range. c&s ability could improve to become a bigger threat as a popper

  • good agility and speed for a 7-footer; solid finishing touch as well

  • solid at drawing fouls, but an atrocious free throw shooter

  • can be turnover prone when pressured

  • lacks rim protection at the 5

  • perimiter defense isn’t great, but doesn’t have terrible foot speed or recovery time; not as bad as most make it out to be

  • can play 4

  • decently high ceiling AND floor

(4/5) TBC

Wolf is a 6'11 center with a guards game (but don't get too excited).

21 YO in 2025, junior who play little to no play in his first year in college.

Easily the best passing 7 footer in college basketball. Not really elite though, A/TO ended the season at 1.1.

Great shotblocker, shared rim protecting abilities with Michigan's other center, Vladislav Goldin. Outside of the paint his foot speed absolutely ruined any chance to keep up with guards or forwards.

Shot below 60% from the free throw line this season. Above 70% in his last season at Yale, but on a lower volume.

Wolf as a post up player is very effective, good strength and a consistent mid-range jumpshot.

A lot of Wolf's drives feel unplanned, like he just launches himself into the lane and hopes he finds his way to the rim. When he gets there, his touch is nice.

Great rebounder defensively, doesn't crash the glass offensively.

Comp: Mo Wagner
