I really like DaRon Holmes out of Dayton. He is having a monster year for the Flyers on both ends of the court. He doesn't have the height of most centers but when you see him play you quickly realize that does not matter as he is an absolute force in the paint. He is a gifted shot blocker and rim protector and a natural finisher around the rim. A big time rebounder. When I see Holmes I see a high impact big man in today's game that has potential to continue to grow even more on both ends of the court. I love his competitiveness and motor which has proven to make him one of the most impactful bigs in college basketball this season. One area I would really like to see him improve would be his free throw shooting. He is only about a 65% shooter from the line and gets there quite often. Given his other skills, if he can become a non liability at the free throw line, I think he can warrant a lot of minutes in an NBA rotation.
