Here is my first official draft ranking of the year. These rankings will constantly be added to & adjusted throughout the year leading up to the draft.

Favorite Players Not Available;

Bangot Dak, Colorado, PF/C

His name isn't the only thing about him that stands out as he is a 7-footer with unnatural movement skills for a man his size. He is quite lean but he is a high flyer that could be a defensive menace for years to come with his length and athleticism.

Donovan Dent, New Mexico, PG

Dent was one of my favorite players to not enter the draft last year & after a increase in usage & numbers, he should be looking at an early second round draft slot. Although undersized, he's an exceptional athlete with outstanding playmaking abilities. Any team would love to have a player with his skillset & motor running their second unit.

The Thunder's rebuild is nearing it's completion, with continued internal growth expected to provide the foundation, the finishing touches may be realized in a trade with the Jazz to acquire Lauri Markkanen. He himself has seen his game grow immensely since his rookie season but more noticeably since he has been with the Jazz these past two seasons. His frame has filled out considerably similar to Giannis and he now couples being a physical force with a high IQ on the court. His shot has developed into a true weapon. Markkanen is the player that the Thunder envisioned Poku growing into when they drafted him in 2020. This is their chance to use some of their seemingly endless supply of draft capital to accelerate their timeline & heighten their chances of advancing deep in the playoffs this season and the years to come. With almost no future salary obligations, they would have no problem offering Markkanen the contract he deserves.

For the Jazz this trade is pretty simple as they hoard…

Here is a quarter-season Big Board for the upcoming NBA Draft in 2024 that will focus on the top half of the first round along with some honorable mentions I feel can make a major jump between now and the end of the NCAA/G League/NBL seasons. So without any further ado, here are my Top 15 Prospects for the 2024 NBA Draft.

Isaiah Collier - *PG / 6'5 / 210 lbs / Draft Age: 19 yrs 8 mo *

Big-Bodied point guard that has athleticism just a notch below the likes of Ja Morant, Russ Westbrook, & John Wall. Turnover rate remains a little high but there are very few true freshman tasked with being the best player at a Power 5 school with March Madness aspirations. Alex Sarr - *PF / 7'1 / 217 lbs / Draft Age: 19 yrs 2 mo *

Long and lanky big man that will need to bulk up in order to play a true 5 but the flashes of perimeter play point to a modern day 4 with All-NBA defensive team potential. Ron Holland - *SF / 6'8 / 206 lbs / Draft Age: 18 yrs 11 mo *

What Holland lacks in explosi…

The vibe around the Grizzlies has changed immensely since this time last year. Ja has hurt his public image while the team has not held up as well without him as they had in prior seasons. The main issues that hurt this team in the past were poor perimeter shooting & at times even poorer shot selection. (Looking right at you Dillon Brooks) This year so far, a lack of size & rebounding has hurt them just as much their inability to shoot the three. This trade allows them to get the ideal center to replace Steven Adams and upgrade their outside shooting while also getting much better on the defensive end of the floor.

The Nets are a very tricky team to pin down in the hypothetical trade world. They don't own their draft destiny for the next few seasons so staying relatively competitive while also hoarding as much draft capital should be their strategy however that remains easier said than done. The front office did a great job of identifying the correct players & contracts to take back i…
