Dylan Harper / Guard / 6’6” 210 lbs / Rutgers University

Physical Profile*

Athleticism: Smooth & functional athlete with deceptive quickness and strength. He has excellent body control, changes speeds well, and knows how to use his frame to gain advantages. Ability to absorb contact and finish is a big plus.

Frame: Strong & mature build that is physically ready for the NBA. He has broad shoulders, a sturdy lower body, and can absorb contact on both ends. Possesses a solid wingspan, enabling him to guard multiple positions and finish over defenders.

Offensive Strengths*

Playmaking & Court Vision: One of the best facilitators in his class. He sees the floor exceptionally well and thrives in pick-and-roll settings. Can manipulate defenders with pace, and he’s unselfish, often making the extra pass to set up teammates.

Crafty Scoring Ability: Scores in a variety of ways. He uses hesitations, spins, floaters, and creative angles to get buckets in the lane. Ability to get to his spots …

Cooper Flagg / Forward / 6'9" 205 lbs / Duke University

Physical Profile*

Athleticism: Smooth and fluid athlete with impressive coordination for his size. Excellent body control, timing, and lateral agility. Exceptional motor and anticipation elevate his athletic impact, particularly on defense and in transition.

Frame: Prototypical modern forward build with a 7’0 wingspan. Potential to comfortably add 15–20 pounds of muscle without sacrificing mobility. Broad shoulders and long arms are tailor-made for versatility on both ends.

Offensive Strengths*

Passing & Playmaking Vision: Elite decision-maker for his age, showing advanced reads out of pick-and-roll, high-post, and transition scenarios. Consistently makes the right pass and can function as a secondary or even primary playmaker.

VJ Edgecombe / Shooting Guard / 6’5’ 185 lbs / Baylor University

Physical Profile*

Athleticism: Explosive & dynamic athlete with elite-level vertical pop and quick-twitch movement. He’s a fluid mover in the open court, elevates easily off one or two feet, and has fast-twitch reactions on both ends. Athletic tools allow him to be a transition nightmare and a defensive playmaker.

Frame: Strong & chiseled frame that’s NBA-ready. His broad shoulders and physicality allow him to defend bigger wings, finish through contact, and absorb bumps on drives. Wingspan adds to his defensive versatility.

Offensive Strengths*

Transition Offense & Open-Court Speed: Thrives in transition, where his speed and finishing explosiveness shine. He consistently beats defenders down the floor and finishes above the rim with ease.

Slashing & Rim Pressure: One of the best downhill threats in the class. He attacks closeouts aggressively and uses his strength and verticality to finish at the rim. Capable of ta…

Background: Flagg has been something special from his freshman year of high school. He burst on the scene after transferring to Montverde and winning gold in the 2022 FIBA U-17 World Cup with Team USA. At Montverde, he cemented himself as the #1 recruit and committed to Duke. In just his freshman year, he won National Player of the Year, ACC Player of the Year, and led Duke all the way to the Final Four before they were shockingly upset by Houston. Pros: Efficient scorer Elite 3 point shooter Tremendous dunker Great passer who projects as a primary ballhandler Elite defender Great shot blocker Great instincts Cons: None Summary: Flagg is considered to be in the same caliber of prospect that Zion and Wemby were for good reason. If he does reach his ceiling, then it’s possible that he goes down as one of the all-time greats in the sport. At his floor, it’s possible that he could just be a “do it all” wing similar to that of Derrick White, whether it be as the final piece to a starting 5 …

NOTE: Pick 56 for the Knicks is forfeited, so I just chose a random player at the bottom of the big board.

I did simulate the lottery for this. I’m also just curious, who do you think would be the winners in the scenario? Who would be the losers?…

Background: The son of former NBA star Ron Harper, Dylan was one of the best high school players in New Jersey, and decided to team up with fellow top recruit Ace Bailey at Rutgers, which is also his brother, Ron Jr’s, alma mater. Despite Harper making the All-Big 10 team, Harper and Bailey did not lead Rutgers to the tournament, becoming the first projected top 5 picks to miss the tournament since Markelle Fultz in 2017. Pros: Crafty rim finisher Good ball handler Good playmaker Good spot-up shooter Has the potential to be a good defender Cons: Inconsistent shooter Can get outplayed by shiftier guards Can be turnover prone at times Summary: Harper is an intriguing prospect. His ceiling is an All-NBA talent and MVP candidate who you could build your offense around. At his floor, he’s likely a 6th man or key offensive piece off the bench. NBA Comp: Jalen Brunson Best Fits: Nets, Pelicans, Wizards…

I took so long deliberating over these selections so I hope you enjoy the mock.

Let me know if you want to see some trades in the next one as well as any prospects you think should be higher/lower, or that have been missed

I do have a first round grade on Stirtz and Condon who obviously aren’t in the database yet + there’s plenty of guys I’d like in the second round who haven’t been added. Also I tried to exclude anyone who seems to be definitely going back to school so please let me know if I included anyone I shouldn’t have….
