STAYING IN COLLEGE

  • Very strong wing

  • Very physical

  • Solid on both sides of the ball

  • Can put his head down and turn into a bowling ball

  • Good playmaker

  • Can definitely shoot the ball

  • Very versatile and reliable defender

  • Natural leader

  • I think would work better as a smaller versatile PF

  • Is in no way a floor general

  • Comp: Jae Crowder / Royce O'Neal / Justice Winslow

  • Ceiling: Starter

  • Floor: Out of the league

  • Expectation: Bench

  • What to Expect: A good defender off the bench that will keep a good attitude, put his head down, and work

RANK

Grade: 41.1

Height/Weight: 6'6/225

Draft Age: 23.18

Projected Position: PF/C

Offense:

  • Unphased by perimeter closeouts on 3pt attempts. Very comfortable stepping into 3's with defenders in his face. Quick motion & quickly squares feet

  • Is ok at attacking defenders body on paint touches, though generally plays more of a finesse game & not great at finishing through contact

  • Makes the correct passes, reads defenders leverage well.

  • Diverse back to basket game, effortlessly creating space on his turnaround fadeaway with high efficiency. Can also overpower smaller defenders with push shots & leaning turnarounds. Good timing & touch in the post.

  • Sloppy handle against press defense. Struggles to recognize help defense leading to turnovers.

Defense:

  • Good post strength to match up with bigs, but lack functional size and verticality to affect shots much

  • Poor foot speed diminishes his ability to affectively guard the perimeter, often sagging to compensate, and struggling on quick stop start. Closeouts are slow and shot contests aren't highly effective

  • Times doubles wells when ballhandelers have commited to a shot or dribble, hands are solid to stop passouts, nothing special

Other:

  • Attacks defenders body well in transition, can pick the ball up too early commiting to passes

  • Good post physicality to deny entry passes to bigs, and good body positioning

  • Good timing when crashing the board, tracking of rebounds and ability to poke the ball from disadvantageous positions to make it a loose ball

  • Lacks functional height for his projected position
