Hard worker who rebounds and scores well from everywhere. His defense is very good but he is not a plus shooter. On the older side.

NBA Comp: Kai Jones

Comp: Hunter Tyson/Ousmane Dieng

  • impressive body coordination and fluidity for his size at 6’11”; has a solidly tight handle and doesn’t have trouble with basic changes of direction

  • solid passing vision as a connective forward

  • very solid vertical athlete

  • long frame; at times can threaten some good helpside rim protection

  • doesn’t have an offensive strong suit; a questionable finisher with an inconsistent jumper and not much of a shot creating gene

  • doesn’t project to be a great defender w/ his light frame and relatively slow feet

  • gets tossed around in traffic due to skinny frame

GSW position: PF/C

Strengths: Good in transition going down hill with the middle open, can be a spot up 3 type of guy, can be a center at times but due to his size most likely PF, rebounds (for offensive rebounding he is really good at fighting for them, defensive rebounds well as well), a efficient scorer (most points around the rim. His shot no matter what stays confident, takes good shots, does not rush and will wait for movement to make the right pass if needed, not your exact shot blocker but can go vertically up very well to contend a shot due to his size, shot blocker sometimes as well when playing center

Weakness: hard for him to guard strong players coming down hill tends to be called for a foul, his finishing can be better needs to get stronger, confident to shoot the 3 but has not been great (he has a flatness to his shot-it has to be fix), FT’s are okay most of the time but he can miss a few at times

Total: 57/100 = Early Second Role: Rotation Screening Forward Upside Player Comp: Sam Hauser Downside Player Comp: Joey Hauser

My take: His projection is solely on if his jumper is projectable. I don't love his form but he will have to improve if he wants to stick. He can finish well at the basket and provide some bench forward minutes as a pick and roll guy who can also find the right pass on occassion. Not a bad bet in the early second.

Pros:

  • Sets strong picks

  • Great vision and passing for a big man

  • Uses wingspan to reach for boards

  • See potential in the shot but doubt it will be found

Cons:

  • 3pt % went down every year

  • Low muscle but it's serviceable in today's league

Notes: He is a good college piece but will struggle in the NBA.
