Big Board Rankings

Strengths

  • "Versatile shooter with deep range off a full sprint and off screens; he also knows how to cut and relocate."

  • "Effective marksman off the dribble; he loves to cross over from his right to his left hand into a stepback shot."

  • "Displays great touch around the rim

  • though he rarely attacks the paint."

  • "Solid passer within the flow of the offense

  • swinging the ball or delivering entry passes; if he starts attacking the basket more often

  • he could unlock some playmaking potential."

  • "Possesses great fundamentals and lateral quickness on the defensive end

  • which makes him an effective on-ball defender despite a lack of strength."

  • "Energetic off-ball defender who chases opponents through screens and makes smart rotations."

  • "Elite catch-and-shoot threat with limitless range; was regarded as one of the best shooters in college hoops as a freshman before an injury-riddled sophomore season"

  • "Effective and underrated creator with the ball; he''s able to dribble into his own shots and has a knack for carving out space to get open looks"

  • "Has good positional size and played a strong role on defense at Arkansas

  • averaging 1.5 steals per game as a dynamic defensive disruptor"

Areas to Improve

  • "Inconsistent shooter. He hit 41 percent of his 3s as a freshman but only 34 percent as a sophomore. He also took a lot of difficult shots due to his demanding role in the offense

  • with over 10 3-point attempts per game."

  • "Takes a lot of unwarranted shots

  • which is possibly attributable to his role

  • but also due to his tendency to jack jumpers rather than attack the rim or make an available pass."

  • "Thin frame hinders his versatility defensively; he was often overpowered in college."

  • "Underwent arthroscopic debridement surgery on his right knee

  • ending his sophomore season early."

  • "Shot selection was often times head-scratching; his ability to make any shot on the floor enabled him to take bad

  • contested looks"

  • "Injury-plagued sophomore season was cut short due to a knee injury"

  • "Did not perform well in a guard-friendly system as a passer; averaged as many turnovers per game as assists last season"

RANK

Potential to be the biggest high volume 3pt shooter in this class. 41% to 34% from 3. An eye popping 10.6 3pt apg. Can shoot around the half court. Potential GUNNER from deep. FT% 75.6 to 89. Not a primary ballhandler. 1.01 PPP on off dribble jumpers, 89th percentile. Was not asked to attack, shows some potential there. Solid laterally, looks to be a positive on ball defender. Length can disrupt passing lanes. Should be good defensively 1-3. Not an initiator but should be able to find the open play a fair amount of the time. Decent in PnR. Has to get better off ball particularly coming off screens just 5/36...
