Young scoring 2 guard more than capable of scoring at all three levels. Definitely sporadic at times and isn't the best shooter behind the arc, but a lot of young talent to mold. A lot of work to be done on defensive end. Shades of offensive Jaden Ivey.

Jeremiah Fears High End: Damian Lillard Low End: Tre Mann Median outcome: Devin Harris Pros: Tough shotmaking, handle, playmaking, athleticism, age upside Cons: Shot consistency, turnovers Verdict: Jeremiah Fears is another reclass prospect like Flagg, and he has shown high end upside as a lead guard in his freshman season at OU. It will take a few years for the polish to come and allow him to be a true NBA starter, but he is already a very capable operator out of the p&r. He needs to fill up his frame a bit more for the scoring to be able to translate as he currently has some difficulties at finishing through contact, preferring to use floaters. Fears is a very twitchy athlete with a great first step and general burst, so he can get to his spots. His shooting has upside as he shoots quite well in midrange and c&s, but his dribble pull-up can be refined even further. The main area of improvement for him will be tidying up his playmaking as he often tries to force passes that end up resulting in costly turnovers. Furthermore, Fears’ inconsistencies are also very blaring as sometimes he gets shut off entirely whereas other games he'd explode for impressive scoring performances, so teams will have to be patient if they decide to draft him.

Fears has really grown on me even since the beginning of the year. His quickness, ballhandling and ability to get downhill and score at the rim has wowed me. He's a good athlete and uses that to his advantage. His playmaking talent is top-tier and that will be one of his best tools in the league. His 3point shooting is very iffy, to say the least. He is a little too aggressive sometimes and has poor shot selection. He's a high-motor defender who jumps passing lanes with skill, but he can get bullied off-ball because of his size. Not a great mover when he doesn't have the ball. He definitely relies on his speed and burst a lot, a little too much for my liking. Overall, Fears is a prospect with a lot of question marks, but if he lands in the right spot he could blossom.

NBA Comps: Jaden Ivey, Jarred Bayless

One of my guys(someone I am much higher on than other people)

Name: Jeremiah Fears

My ranking: 5

Projected Draft Range: Top 10 pick

Projected NBA Role: Dynamic scoring guard with playmaking abilities

Projected NBA Position: Point Guard / Shooting Guard

Projected Rookie Statline: 7 PPG | 2 RPG | 2 APG

Strengths: • Scoring Ability: Fears is a proficient scorer at all three levels. He has a smooth shooting stroke and can create his own shot effectively. His ability to stop quickly for pull-ups and utilize step-backs makes him a constant offensive threat. • Playmaking: Demonstrates solid floor vision and playmaking instincts, particularly in transition and pick-and-roll situations. His understanding of game flow allows him to make timely decisions, benefiting teammates. • Athleticism and Agility: Possesses a tight handle and quickness that enable him to navigate defenses and break down opponents off the dribble. His agility contributes to his effectiveness in both offensive and defensive scenarios. • Defensive Potential: Averaged 1.6 steals per game, showcasing his ability to read passing lanes and disrupt the opposition’s offense. His defensive awareness adds value to his overall game.

Weaknesses: • Three-Point Shooting Consistency: While capable from beyond the arc, Fears has shown inconsistency, shooting 28.4% from three-point range during the 2024-25 season. Improving this aspect will enhance his offensive versatility. • Physical Development: At 6’4” and 182 lbs, adding muscle mass could help him withstand the physicality of the NBA and improve his effectiveness on both ends of the floor. • Shot Selection: At times, Fears can settle for difficult shots rather than facilitating ball movement. Developing better shot discipline will be crucial for his efficiency at the next level.

Shades of / Comparison: • CJ McCollum: Similar scoring guard with the ability to create shots and contribute as a secondary playmaker. • Lou Williams: Shares the instant offense capability off the bench, with a knack for scoring in bunches.

Notable Performances:

1. vs. Georgia (SEC Tournament): Recorded 29 points, leading Oklahoma to a crucial victory and showcasing his scoring prowess under pressure.
2. vs. Kentucky (SEC Tournament): Tallied 28 points, demonstrating his ability to perform against top-tier competition and solidifying his reputation as a clutch performer.
3. vs. Mississippi State: Delivered a standout performance, contributing significantly to Oklahoma’s narrow victory and highlighting his impact in critical moments.

Not super big for a point guard and with the evolution of the game, they are less players like that. He also needs the ball a lot. I still think he could be a good player and he has star potential. He's also super young.
