High End: Thaddeus Young/Chris Bosh Lite
Low End: Juwan Morgan/Trendon Watford
Median outcome: Precious Achiuwa
Pros: Athleticism, defense, rebounding, intriguing shot (three)
Cons: Size, shooting, FT splits
Verdict:
JT Toppin has been one of the most productive players in the country this season in a competitive Texas Tech team that relies on his offensive rebounding for second chance scores. Toppin is a bouncy athlete with good defense and effort on both sides of the glass. He measures in a 6'7" without shoes, so there is concerns of him being a tweener who can't find a lower usage role in the league. However, Toppin has intrigue as a shooter as he has made a decent amount of long twos while also hitting 3 pointers here and there.
