Big Board Rankings

Strengths

  • "Understands how to control the game with his dribble and his voice. He’s a team leader and could slide into a spark-plug point guard role and provide scoring and reliable playmaking."

  • "Smart decision-maker who makes accurate passes and doesn’t force the issue. If he drives

  • he won’t force a shot; he’ll kick it out and then relocate to the 3-point line."

  • "Knockdown shooter. His potency off movement and off the dribble suggests suggests he can be a dynamic offensive weapon."

  • "Solid ball handler who won’t necessarily break down defenders

  • but has good ball control and limits careless turnovers. He''s at his best in the pick-and-roll."

  • "High-effort on-ball and off-ball defender who could become a pesky defender if he maximizes his limited athleticism."

  • "Good 3-point shooter with serious range"

  • "Quality passer"

  • "Uses ball-handling to create good looks inside the arc"

Areas to Improve

  • "Forced a ton of shots in college

  • which was largely due to his do-everything role. He’ll have to adjust to being a complementary contributor in the NBA."

  • "Doesn’t draw many fouls largely due to his lack of explosiveness."

  • "Undersized: He projects as a limited defender unless he makes dramatic improvements to his athleticism and plays full throttle in his minutes

  • much like Fred VanVleet did after making it to the NBA."

  • "Average size and athleticism might make it tough for him to guard bigger wings"

  • "Could struggle to be productive when playing off the ball"

RANK

41.5% 3 on 6.8 Apg 1.27 PPP 91st percentile on catch & shoot Fluid relatively quick stroke. Confident, but ball comes near hip. Draino range from very long. Anywhere in half court is within reach. ELITE SHOOTER with slight questions in form. Just seems like an old time vet shooting stroke on step backs. Like the vintage feel. Competitor who will take that big time shot gladly. Might be able to fill it up inside the arc as well. Slick refined handle, can get to the cup. 54.2% at rim in half court. 5.5 ast/gm, patient. Decent facilitator. Makes the basic reads well. Lob city guy. Good transition passer. Lateral quickness a concern. IQ and effort will help D.
