SG - HT: 6’6”

- A really solid 3 and D guard who can attack close outs, not a lot of upside but could be a good rotation player for years
- Nice floater
- Good hustle
- Very strong perimeter defense
- Conservative but effective
- Connector
- Not a high number of steals per game, a good indicator of translatable defense
- Not many guys have the combination of impact qualities on low usage - shot making, cutting, defense, turnover averse, complementary unselfish ball moving/playmaking
- Shades of Quentin Grimes, Aaron Nesmith, KCP

STRENGTHS:

  • A very good shooter (43% from three) who can be put in many action different actions; in transition, on the break, off the catch, lifting from the corner, floppy actions, he will be really good immediately in that area

  • Does a good job of mirroring his opponents counter dribble moves when he is on defense; strong and stable enough to warrant good defensive possessions

  • Runs the break well and fills the lanes well; does a good job of basket cutting and creating opportunities for others off of those cuts, mainly because he attracts defenders to him due to his shooting

WEAKNESSES:

  • For as good of a shooter as he is, he needs to put up more of them; I am not sure if it is a confidence issue, but a 43% shooter from three should not be attempting only three a night

  • Like, teammate Keshad Johnson, his shot needs to be quicker, as well

  • Has athletic limitations; does not turn his hips well enough, does not recover well enough, and often plays defense flat-footed

Player Comparison: Shades of Sam Hauser and Christian Braun

Cons: Sometimes a little aggressive on D, FT numbers have gone down every year-Why?

Range: Early 2nd-Euro ball Age: Older guy Aura: 7/10 White boy Mind for the game

Notes: Unique FT form, Could see his game translating great or not so good.

Connective player on a great team with lots of translatable skills. If the catch-and-shoot and one dribble pull-ups hold up and continue to look as smooth as they did in his best games at Arizona, there's no reason why Larsson can't get a second contract. He's already playing his NBA role in college.
