Flashy scorer, big time shooter. Just a really small frame and liability on defense. Should return to school. Shades of Cam Payne. Some Brandon Jennings

Fun player to watch. Elite scorer. He is really good going to the rim and creating off the bounce. He's pretty small but is a good athlete.

NBA Comp: Rob Dillingham

  • Flashy, fun to watch offensively

  • Really deep bag, can score in many ways

  • Gets targeted on defense because of his smaller frame

  • Would like to see his court vision improve

  • Comp: Kemba Walker / Shelvin Mack / Cam Payne

  • Ceiling: ALL-STAR

  • Floor: Bench

  • Expectation: 6th man of the year

  • What to Expect: Sparkplug off the bench, maybe a starter depending on the layout of the team

Dynamo and complete package on offense, but could be a liability on defense. He's small but he seems to have a good wingspan and bounce so his lack of size is a bit overstate (he plays bigger than Dillingham for example).

He's one of my favourites.

NBA comparison : De'Aaron Fox/Isaiah Thomas

Tahaad Pettiford is a versatile offensive weapon for the Auburn Tigers. He is one of the best 3pt shooters in this class, and he is a great finisher. He has a great layup package filled with acrobatic finishes and dunks. His passing is unremarkable, and his defense is lackluster. His size is a big concern, as it will limit his defensive potential.

Comp: Cameron Payne.

Pettiford is a combo guard with a sniper’s touch, raining 3s and lethal floaters while flashing playmaking savvy and a bulldog mentality on both ends. But his smaller size means he’ll need to clean up his shot selection and decision-making to max out his game at the next level.

Pros:

Versatile shooter

Shot creation

Floater

At-rim finishing

Playmaking upside

Mentality

Cons:

Undersized

Shot selection

Streakiness

Experience

Comparisons: Mike Conley, Brandon Jennings
